Death, War, and Harmony [a tragedy, my dear]

So, this is a plot page for three ThunderClan apprentices: Deathpaw, Warpaw, and Harmonypaw.

Deathpaw, I believe, is a perfect little actress and decoy who has murdered some cats already and is Wildstar's daughter... I think...

Warpaw isn't much right now, but he's been the abused son of Blueflight, who killed his two brothers. He's really just focused on training with his mentor, Wildstar, for now. But in the future he's going to be a large, muscled warrior who might just be a helpful ally.

And Harmonypaw is annoying to them both. Harmonypaw is more sweet and friendly.

Put them together and you'll have a madhouse on your hands.

Which is just what we're intending to do.

So this is where Evening, Rumor, and I will plot them together in a devious... plot. Ahem.

Ahahahaha. Oh my, this is a disaster.

Harmonypaw doesn't need a crush on Wildstar, it's just a "connect-the-dots" sort of idea that just lets me see the three characters from a different view... Deathpaw and Warpaw both have some sort of connection to Wildstar, so it was just a building block we could use or maybe not... Depends.

The only way these three would work is if something really bound them together, no? Nothing weak, like the common sight of Harmonypaw being annoying. They've got different views, different personalities, and different lives. Warpaw and Deathpaw would never really "work" together unless under dire circumstances. And their dark personalities don't blend well with Harmonypaw's. This conflict would mix nicely into a plot, but it can't be the plot itself.

If both of you are willing, perhaps some minor changes could be made. Our characters are accepted, with some already very developed histories and personalities. Represent the ingredients:

Deathpaw - The Murderer

Warpaw - The Deal-maker

Harmonypaw - The Sweetheart

And their very qualities are the recipe:

Should you care to add a bit to your charactor's history or just a bit more drama to their lives, then let's throw them into a little bit of trouble, shall we?

Meet Oakpaw. He's a shy, humble little guy who usually thinks before he acts and is loyally obedient. At least, for the most part. It isn't often that he's curious, and if he is, he doesn't act on it. Until recently, of course. In the last few moons of his life, Oakpaw became downright paranoid. And why shouldn't he be?

He knew too much, after all, especially that he was being hunted. In fact, Oakpaw knew he was going to die.

Oakpaw never meant to be of very much importance. But when you stumble across a decoy meeting uninvited, you become severely important; whether or not you like it. Oakpaw never meant to be drawn to the whisperings near the ThunderClan border. But, let's face it, he did mean to eavesdrop. And when all those cold eyes turned his way, Oakpaw knew his fate was written. Fortunately, it was too dark to see who this intruder was.

Unfortunately, the decoys have connections. And they would find Oakpaw, one way or another. Luckily, Oakpaw knew that should he open his mouth, they'd kill him... And being only an earthly cat, he's afraid of death and loves his life... a little more than the lifes of his Clanmates.

Rewind to his kithood. Oakpaw was still in the nursery when Warkit and his brothers were born. Oak-kit wouldn't really want to get involved, until one day Warkit came to him, a few days before Oak-kit was to be apprenticed, and the two began to talk. It was a strange thing, especially since Warkit didn't really socialize with others. Oak-kit dismissed it as Warkit just being lonely and wanting a friend. The two grew close, or so Oak-kit believed, until the day of his apprentice ceremony. Warkit came to him with a proposal: that he should find a way to tend to his mother along with his apprentice duties and slip two thorns into her nesting. Later, Oakpaw should bring Blueflight a mouse, who had the juice of deathberries on its fur. Perhaps the Clan would take the two thorns as an omen from StarClan that she would be punished for the murder of her two kits after she died. Of course, Oakpaw, to satisfy Warkit's demands temporarily, hurriedly agreed before rushing off for his ceremony. Oakpaw never followed through with it. But if you make a promise to Warpaw, he holds you to it, no matter what.

So there's Warpaw and Oakpaw, a deal between them.

Harmonypaw, sweet and friendly, could have developed a crush on shy little Oakpaw. She could have liked him so much that she would be dragged into the whole affair of his death. His sweetheart, even though they were young. It was she who was strolling and playing with Oakpaw when he was murdered. Imagine this: Harmonypaw and Oakpaw are playing hide-and-seek in the forest, Harmonypaw following Oakpaw's trail through the ferns. He's been teasing her the whole time they've been playing, until he falls silent. She takes this as a sign he's hiding nearby. And suddenly, she finds him: his throat slit, bathed in blood, among the ferns.

Someone else had been "seeking" Oakpaw too. A decoy appointed to remove the threat of the cat who had eavesdropped on the meeting. And who better a cat than ThunderClan's own Deathpaw? So reliable, she got the job done cleanly. No fuss, just a swipe of the paw and she was gone as fast as she had appeared. Murderers are awfully tricky like that.

And on Oakpaw's fur bore three scents:

Warpaw's, who had exchanged some harsh, whispered words with his "friend" earlier that day.

Harmonypaw's, who had been with him most of the time today.

Deathpaw, who cleverly thought in advance of the fact of scents being found on the body, and had made sure to be seen with him right before he had left camp with Harmonypaw, brushing by him in the entrance to camp.

Of course, no one really suspected any of the apprentices. They were too young, too innocent. Only six-moons-old, of course. They couldn't commit murder.

Aaanndddd...

That's it. That's my idea. I'll leave the rest for you guys to help come up with. Now, these are just suggestions. Your characters are your characters and they don't need to do anything of the above. This isn't set in stone, just something to build off of and see what we can possibly do with it. There's a lot more that can go into it... I think this is just a good place to start.

Now let's brainstorm and see what you think.

I love this Navi. I love the whole Oakpaw piece of it. it would be JUST like Harmony to develop feelings for someone in her kit hood and go out celebrating with a game of hide and seek.

So. She finds him and takes him back to camp, the new apprentice scarred forever by the loss of her first love. Perhaps Harmony feels one of three ways...

1) that as the other two scents on Oakpaw's body she comes up with this wild idea that they either saw or heard something and wants to get them to tell her what they saw/heard before her love died.

2) She suspects them both, this will eventually drive her to a confrontation to one or both of them, and could eventually consume her and get her killed by the decoy's

3) She's forgiven whomever her love's attacker was, and wants to extend this forgiveness onto the two whom she feels may be responsible. Not that she blames them,but she wants to get into their lives, force them to open up and if either confessed, she would be their to be the saint she is and forgive them.

I like 3 the best... I think it fits her best. Anyways this could lead to Death hating her, and War just wanting her to shut up about the whole thing, because she's just to damn cheery and....forgiving. Maybe this could lead to him making a deal with Deathpaw or something... perhaps if she gets a mate, they could threaten him and basically make Harmony's life hell...trying to push her over the edge or something.... Idk...I'm not the best plot maker...

Absolutely! I was really thinking it might become something like Harmonypaw on the search for the killer(s) of her beloved; and definitely suspecting Warpaw and/or Deathpaw.

If she does happen to seem to do a little "detective" work and either one of them picks up on it, I can see them going to the other and sort of growing a little cold to her...

Warpaw wouldn't trust Deathpaw, and he wouldn't be grateful for Harmonypaw's questions, if any.

However she wouldn't have any proof, and she might want to be careful... Deathpaw, I believe, would not accept an suspicion from Harmonypaw.

We'll probably have to see, but the Harmonypaw idea sounds good. I can see Warpaw extending his talents to trying to make deals with both of them, should it prove beneficial to him. But most of all, it'll spark up his interest in Deathpaw.

Oh yeah, Death wouldn't stand at all for a suspicion on her. She'd either
A) Threaten her
B) Ask Crimson's permission to kill yet another cat
C) Just kill her.

I think C is her most dominant choice here XD
Although taking into account that Warpaw is also involved and if he or Harmonypaw has so compromise as to her benefit, she'd rethink her "I'll kill you now" and probably change it to "I'll kill you later at a better time" sort of thing XD
