Staff auditions! Come one, come all! I decided to start them today, but they won't end until the high position ones do, or even after them. Please read the rules, then post the forum (which is filled out about you) below!

Rules:
1. You must have been a member for at least a day. Yes, a day, not two months, which is like in the rules, since the site has only been open for two and a half weeks.
2. You must be nice to everyone! Staff member or not!
3. You must have made a bio, and it must have been accepted to apply.
4. I'd prefer for you have already RPed, but that's okay if you haven't.
5. Whatever account of yours you post with will be the account that will be the staff member if you are picked.
6. No whining if you don't win.
7. If you don't win, then please don't leave the site! If I didn't choose you, it had nothing against you. It's just that I don't want so many staff members on the site. It's your choice if you want to leave if you don't win, but personally, I think that's stupid. =/

why do you want to become apart of the staff team of DD?:
Because I'm Navigator, silly.

I love to write and role-play, it's one of my greatest hobbies. That being said, I am very active, often coming on at least once every week if I can (although I usually am on much more often that that). I like to chat and help other people, even within my usually insane, party-goer personality I carry like a weapon at all times. I have always wanted to get involved with a site and it's staff, ever since starting to role-play on Proboards. I believe I will be a powerful asset to your team.

I have been around since the beginning of this site, in its many forms (if The Warriors World was the first version of this site) and I've stuck around for a long time since then, from warrior cats site to wolf to warriors, I've been around. I'm a loyal member, and my love for this site and its members will most likely keep me around for a very long time. I've role-played for roughly four years, although I've had a passion for writing long before that. I like to try to put a lot of effort into my bios (yes, I get impatient with my writer's block self and submit crap just to start role-playing; an insane trait of mine that won't carry over into my staff duties). From plots to characters and from role-plays to ideas, I am a very creative person and love all interactions that occur either in role-play or the crazy c-box with other members. Now, unlike some, I will not make any false promises. No "I'm learning to code" or "I'm hoping to learn to make graphics," but I will tell you my good qualities that I think would make me fit for being staff. I'm sorry to say that I have little to no experience with coding and graphic-editing, but I do hope to be of use to you in other ways.

As I said above, I love to chat and help the other members (pfft, yes, Navi is helpful; why would you say such a thing?) Reading biographies is a favorite pasttime of mine; accepting bios would be a job that I could be content with. I'm willing to learn, so I'd be up for anything you might need, and since this is the only site I'm truly on, it will be given my undivided attention when it comes to role-playing. ^^ I like to write guides and tutorials, especially those regarding role-playing and the improvement of the skills of role-playing. Basically, what I'm trying to say here is that I'll help whereever and whatever I can, to the best of my ability.

have you had any other staff member experiences?:
Sadly, not anything big. I don't have any former experience due to sites being closed down soon or right before I am elected or applying. On another site, I was made a Plot Creator, creating main plots for the site (which I absolutely LOVED since making plots is one of the things that makes me love role-playing) but then after having to be away from the computer for a few days, I returned to the site and it didn't exist. Poof. Gone. I'm not sure what happened, but I was left in low spirits.

I also created and was working on a site called Mythmage with three other admins named Evening, Fallen, and Odyessy. However, I'm not sure if it will ever be opened or opened soon (created the plot for that site as well).

But all in all, everyone has to start somewhere and I hope that this site might be the place that I actually do become and get to be staff. :3

why do you want to become apart of the staff team of DD?:

Well, for one thing, like Warpaw, I love to write with my whole heart and soul! It is as normal as breathing and eating to me. Ever since I was a kid, I loved writing animal stories and when I discovered RPGs(at age six) I was in love at first...type. xD I always wanted to make my own site, but my mom wouldn't let me. I checked with her though, and she said if I was elected an admin on a site I could do it. :D Yay! So even if this doesn't get me elected as an admin, I won't bail on you guys. :) I have found my place on the computer that I love more than any other. Can't wait to RP with you!! Also, I have avidly read the warrior cats series ever since the first book came out. They are my favorite things to RP with, as well as wolves. And good luck to all! Wow...I just realized how much I typed. 0.o And, I role-play a little every day if I can. I at least check my pm box once a day and maybe reply once a day as well. If I have extra time, I will post! Good luck to you all! I need to quit typing now...I am rambling on. xD

But right when I was about to become an admin on a site when I was ten, it was closed down. :C But this site is way better than that one and I love it!!! I hope this won't influence your decision too much, I am an avid roleplayer!

why do you want to become apart of the staff team of DD?: The most important reason, of course, is because I love the site. I love everything about it, the look, the people, the plot, the writing. I'd love to be able to help the site become a better place, and not only that but I think I would be pretty good at it. And not to mention that I'd love an excuse to spend even more time here. ;3

have you had any other staff member experiences?: Yes, I started a site a while back called Mapleclan RPG. I was only 10 when I created the site, but it reached the Wetpaint 500 (a ranking of the 500 most active sites run by users of Wetpaint). I ran the site for a few years but it slowly died because it never grew to be very large, and I didn't know about the whole idea of advertising back then. ;P

why do you want to become apart of the staff team of DD?: I want to be a staff member for two main reasons: experience, and to help out with the site.

I haven't been role playing for even 11 months now, and I'm not to great of an RPer, as you can tell by that awful post up above. But that was actually one of my... lamer posts. So why on earth would I ever think I would have a chance at becoming a staffer of such a site? Simple. Experience. Everyone has to start somewhere, if they want to be any good. I still need to get some coding down, even though I'm getting better, and I need to know some of the things that will help me in possibly becoming a better admin for any sites I might create in the future. So, here I am, auditioning for a spot on the staff team, even though it's probably quite futile.

And, the second and most obvious reason is to help out the site as best I can. This is a beautiful, well thought out site, and I would love to do anything I can to help this site achieve it's full potential. The people on here are so kind and welcoming, and I would love to do something that I can do in return for all of their kind words. And I know, if I audition and somehow, miraculously get accepted, I might ruin another's chance for the staffer's glory, but I think I can make up for all of the kindness that has been given to me in the long run by helping out with the site in any way I can.
have you had any other staff member experiences?: Why yes, actually, I have.

I have been a very, very minor role on a site that only had two members. The rank was so minor, and the site so dead, that it would honestly be pointless to give you a link.

But I am the head admin on Silent, my very first site. have little experience, though, so I need some practice... And this might be a good place to start. The site's kinda small, since it hasn't been opened long, but the people on there are quite good RPers. My own character's personality is heading toward 2000 words. :3

I know I probably don't deserve a spot in the staff, since I haven't been on long and I'm not the greatest RPer... I will completely understand if you turn me down. But there might be a chance, which is why I'm here, auditioning. Thank you for taking the time to read this - it is much appreciated.C:

why do you want to become apart of the staff team of DD?:
I enjoy helping others, first of all, and I enjoy helping out when I can. I don’t often volunteer for these positions, honestly, but I feel I would enjoy it on here. I’ve been RPing for a better part of eight years, perhaps more, and I’ve seen/heard/solved just about as many problems as could come up. I’m fairly meticulous about getting things done, and if I’m needed, I don’t hesitate to pop up (out of the shadows, like a stalker. XD J/K.) If there’s ever something I can do in return for being allowed to putter around and RP on someone’s site, then I like to do it, and of course, I’m always around. Like always. I get on at least once a day, check for new posts, check Rps, updates and other threads, and reply where needed or asked. I don’t leave people hanging, and I don’t enjoy that feeling, so I do my best to always be there when called to help. <3

I’m pretty chillaxed, and to be honest, one of the more calm and relaxed and cool-headed people around; I’ve handled my fair share of site-wide and member to member arguments, mediated when needed, and solved problems with a few simple posts/words/paragraphs. On Fantasy Wolf Packs, I was known as the ‘nice staffie’ the one who didn’t get upset, or wound up about anything, and mediated some of the other staff when needed (not that it was needed very often, since our super leader was pretty awesome <3).

have you had any other staff member experiences?:
- I was a staff member of Fantasy Wolf Packs, an MSN RP group for wolf characters which was not only the largest wolf RPG site on the web, but also the most literate, and with the most members. I believe we had over 2,000 members. Because MSN groups is no longer active (and this was about four or more years ago) I can’t provide a link. But I was a staff member there for about four years.
- I was a staff member/high position holder on the Warriors: Sixclans/Dark Legend website, which eventually just kind of…poofed after the activity levels dropped dramatically. I have a link, but it’s in maintenance mode, so it’s impossible to really do/see anything there. (last time I checked)
- I own my own warriors proboards site (which I haven’t gotten up and running because I’m not happy with the layout/code and my partner who runs it is, like me, inc ollege, only she’s a heck of lot busier, to the point where she doesn’t get on the computer much.

why do you want to become apart of the staff team of DD?:
I don't think that dedication is a word that relates to enjoyment often. Especially in the case of being responsible for helping other people. I'd like to think, though, that I enjoy every instance of helping another person, and everything about this site. I'd like to think that I'm dedicated to this site, that a connection to this place is a connection to me.
Lets not lie, on the internet something about every one of us is a little different. That doesn't mean though, that this is a fake place, that the people on it aren't real people. When you hurt someones feelings, you hurt someones feelings. There isn't any two ways about it. If you hurt someones feelings on the internet, on this site, you've done something to make the website and the people on it worse in some quality. That isn't okay by me. It shouldn't be okay by anyone, and yet there are still people out there that seek to hurt you. Seek to make it worse for you. Just because those people exist, and probably will forever, doesn't mean we can't do something about it. We can start here, on THIS website. We could make a safe place for people to have fun, where everyone can enjoy themselves.
I mentioned that I like to help people. I'd like to start here, by helping as a moderator to keep this a safe and secure place for people to come and express themselves. There should be nothing that gets in the way of that. If something does, we need to take care of it. I'll make a pledge here that I will try my hardest to actually perform these things. To actually do my very best to help everyone, while taking part in this myself.
I'll take a small section to share my views on managing a site as it gets larger in both population and activity. I think respect is probably the best word to simplify every member related problem we come across, with just a few exceptions. Think about it, if you're in a place that pleases you, chances are you are being respected as a person, respected as someone who deserves better than a rude comment in the C-box, or a threatening post. Respect doesn't stop at outward presence, though. You need respect for yourself, too. If you don't know that you are better than that rude comment, or gossiping member, you aren't going to achieve that feeling of security, that feeling of loose fun, that we all deserve here.
I also believe in the need for people to feel safe. I don't just mean if I were to be your mod when I say that if you ever feel like someone is treating you unfairly, or you yourself feel unsafe, you can ALWAYS tell me about it. If you don't want me to use your name when I talk to them about it, I won't. if you don't want me to talk about it, I won't. You should never worry about feeling exposed or uncomfortable when you tell me about a problem. I strive to be a very approachable person in uncomfortable situations.
I don't want to be a mod for my own self benefit, or for popularity with people. I want to be a mod because I want to see this site reach its full potential. Nothing should get in the way of that.

I'm actually coming to this site not only as an adviser, but as a learner. Guess what? You are all my teachers! I haven't roleplayed cats for a very long time, and although I'll do anything and everything to help you all in and out of rp, I'd like to learn a thing or two from you all while you're here. You guys are great, mature and intelligent people, believe me when I say that. In closing, I hope that at the very least when you read this you will get an idea of who I am and what I like to see. If you'd like to here some more, you can look up my little real life bio in the under the pelt section.

have you had any other staff member expireances?: I have a history in both being an admin and moderator. I think the most interesting things I have had to offer in the past were in my site design, but that is just personal opinion. In school a two students including myself were assigned to create each teacher a website for class organization and effective sharing of projects and information. Together we made each one a different layout and feel. (If you want these links, Cricket, I will pm them to you, but I'd rather keep them out of a general post)
When I first began rp, I was on webs, and the rules of the main site had you create a new website for every new character. Now, I find webs to be very restrictive and boring, but if you'd like me to dig up those sites I started on, I'd be happy to.
Now on to something more recent. For a group of gamers I made an organized website for them to discuss and plan for future events in a browser game. As it stands you can't get in without an account, but I could make you one and send you the link if you'd like to take a peek at how it looks. (As it stands on this site I am the only admin and moderate with one other members. It is still faintly active, and most members try to log in at least once every couple of days.

It's been six days, guys. I'm a bit impatient as well as excited to finally name the new staff member. I've had this member in mind for a couple of days. Through tough hours of thinking, I've come to a conclusion. Warpaw will be your first moderator on Decoy Dreams. But I'm sorry to say, there will only be one position given, which will be to Warpaw, as just said. Keep your hopes up! There will be another staff audition for the second moderator near my birthday (November 21st) or Christmas!
