emberkit was the only kit born to amberlily and birdclaw. they were a couple born from their parents hate. he had been told to stay away from her, and she to stay away from him. but of course the heart wants what the heart can never have. after their parents passed away, it was found that amberlily was pregnant and everyone knew who the father was, even though she refused to tell them. so emberkit was born, a ginger tom with green eyes like his mother.

emberkit was a happy kit, playful and delighted to be living life in the nursery. his mother showered him with love and attention, teaching him the way of kindness and of manners. he was a well behaved tom, with little interest in she-cats. but when his father came to see him, he taught the tom kit of all the possibilities. of all the she-cat's out there and that he shouldn't settle for one single she-cat too quickly. it was later discovered that he had cheated on amberlily, and for a riverclan she-cat. he ran off with her the day after he became an apprentice.

emberpaw never took his father running away to heart, for fear of what it could do to him. he never once wondered whether or not that made him a half clan cat. he knew in his heart that he was pure thunderclan, that his half siblings( if ever he were to have some ) would be half can. but he took his father's teachings to heart, and he never settled upon a single she-cat. thus his player days began. it was small at first, showering a single she-cat with his attention and another she-cat the next. no one thought anything of it.

his mentor, flamestripe, tried his best to curve the young tom-cat's interest in she-cats and switching from one to the other, but to no avail. he began to focus on the tom's warrior skills, doing his best to turn this young and carefree tom into a prescise warrior that could make his clan proud. he didn't give the tom time to focus on anyone or anything but his training. for the rest of his apprenticeship, it worked. and emberpaw was well on his way to becoming the deadly little warrior his mentor had intended him to become. it was no surprise that the other clan's regarded him with fear. he was deadly.
