~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ -->The firey orange warrior glanced around the clearing casually, scanning the area to see who was around. His head turned slowly, and he yawned as it did so. Mornings were not his thing. Sunblaze definitely did not rise with his namesake in any way whatsoever. Today's plan was to do as little as possible, maybe charm some she-cats at sun-high, and maybe do some hunting later. But Sunblaze was not in the mood to do anything else. His eyes drifted across camp, and on their way he caught sight of a familiar black pelt. He groaned. Spiderpaw. He'd completely forgotten about his new apprentice, and at this moment wished that he had never been assigned one in the first place. Why, out of all days, did this have to be the first day of his mentor-ship? And more importantly, why did Spiderpaw have to be his first apprentice? The young she-cat was anything but calm and intent to learn.
-->Sighing, he figured he should probably go and greet the apprentice. And, rolling his eyes, he supposed he owed it to her to at least give her a chance to prove that she was ready to train. He padded over to the apprentice den slowly, cherishing every paw step that was not spent training the young cat. He finally arrived at his destination, too soon on his count, and tapped Spiderpaw's shoulder with his front paw. As he waited for her to turn around, he licked his paw, seeming very nonchalant. When he had her attention, he meowed, "Are you ready for your first day of training?"
-->At this point he had no idea what she would say, because he had never paid much attention to Spiderpaw. Or any apprentice for that matter. After he had been named a warrior, he hadn't looked back. He never felt the need to. But now he could see why that might have been helpful. In fact, now he was kind of curious to get to know the apprentice, what would she be like? What would her strengths be? How would she learn best? But all this thinking wasn't mixing well with Sunblaze's sleepy mind, so he ignored them for now and waited for his apprentice's reply.
Due to her brothers insistence of her sleeping and waking up early (StarClan knows who on earth would actually want to wake up before dawn), Spiderpaw had fallen into a habit of waking up really early. Today was no exception to that fact, despite the black apprentice's best efforts to stay up as late as possible. Yellow - green eyes blinked opened, followed by a soft sigh. Well, at least she had managed to sleep until daybreak. With a yawn, the young 'paw got to her paws, giving herself a quick lick on the chest before padding out of the den.
As she slipped into the sunlight, her piercing gaze flitted across the camp. Several felines were lying about idly while others were sharing tongues or prey. "Spiderpaw! Over here!" a voice called from somewhere close the where she had been standing. Taking her time, the apprentice continued on with her scanning for a moment or two before turning her head slightly to left to look for who had called her.Sitting there were two other apprentices, toms , Spiderpaw noticed with a slight flash of irritation. Nodding curtly in their direction, she trotted to the fresh - kill pile before selecting a small mouse on top. Turning around, she slowly began to walk towards the toms, hating that there was no other she - cat about to sit with instead.
"Hey Spiderpaw! You look really.. good today." a tom gushed as she dropped the mouse onto the ground with a thud before sitting down. "I'd have thought that I look the same everyday." Spiderpaw responded curtly, her eyes narrowed as she fixed the speaker with her haunting gaze. All the toms laughed although it wasn't even a joke, earning an exasperated twitch of the tail from the jet black she - cat. Just for the sake of having something to do, she bent down and took a bite from the mouse, slowly chewing.
A tap on her shoulder made the apprentice turn, and there stood Sunblaze. For a heartbeat, the ebony 'paw wondered why he was even here, as he was one of those who never cared about any apprentice, and certainly not her. Then it hit her. Russetfeather was no longer her mentor anymore. The warrior had had to retire to the elder's den due to an injury that hadn't healed properly a moon ago, leaving Spiderpaw mentorless. Then, only just yesterday, she had been paired with a new mentor; the ginger tom that stood behind her and was evidently waiting for a reply. "Thought you might never ask." the apprentice muttered under her breath. "'Course. I was born ready, and having been mentorless for a moon won't help me become a warrior any faster. What for ask when the answer'll be yes?" she meowed, standing up before walking to the camp's entrance, not waiting for a reply or telling - off. Finally, training time!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ -->Sunblaze swished his tail slowly as he listened to his new apprentice impatiently. He asked Starclan for the tenth time why he had to be paired with this most annoying she-cat. He sighed, hoping that he would get through this day in one piece. He turned his attention back to the black cat, his body language expressing exactly how he felt. He had missed the first part of what she had said, but he was sure it was something sarcastic or similar. He did hear the second part, however. "'Course. I was born ready, and having been mentorless for a moon won't help me become a warrior any faster. What for ask when the answer'll be yes?" He chuckled a little, amused at the apprentice's attempts to seem so much more mature and experienced than she was. Although, he remembered the days when he had acted the same. He supposed that he hadn't changed much since those days at all, he still acted as though he was better than everyone. Except now it was much more true than it had been then.
-->Yawning for a fourth time, he watched her walk off. He trotted after her, blocking her path before she could leave camp. He smiled when he saw this had annoyed her. Maybe having an apprentice was going to be fun after all? He smirked slightly, and said "We'll head out to the clearing now. And maybe you'll actually learn something today, it all depends." He was determined to act as nonchalant as she did. He turned away and continued to walk out of camp, and called over his shoulder, "And next time, follow the code and maybe think about hunting for the elders before taking a mouse for yourself." He trotted off, not even looking back to see if she was following.
((OOC: Sorry for such a short post! Wanted to get this in before the end of the day!))

Just before the she-cat left, she heard the tom give a small chuckle and she stiffened ever so slightly. Stupid mouse-brain. Thinks that everything's a joke, she thought with satisfaction, glad to be able to name-call the warrior a bit. She'd show him that not every she-cat fell head-over-heels to make him notice them! If there was something she prided herself in, it was the fact that she was independent and mature -- at least she thought that-- and that she could be just as annoying as the warrior was. But he could never be as annoying as me. Never. I pride myself for being the most annoying furball the Clans have ever seen, she smirked slightly.
But the ginger tom overtook her just then, breaking her moment of prideful arrogance. How great that sounded but now it was broken. Scowling, the black 'paws frosty gaze glared at the tom in annoyance, taking in the smirk on his muzzle and wishing for the seven hundred and thirteenth time that she could just swipe her claws across his handsome face and give him scars to remember what would happen to him of he irked her. Her claws itched just at that thought and the apprentice considered doing it, just this once.. I'd get into trouble, and I don't want to ruin or delay my warrior ceremony and longer. Besides, when I become a warrior, I'll be able to show him, Spiderpaw thought with a grin on her muzzle which she quickly wiped off her face replacing the look with a look of bored interest. Which was far from true, since she was raring to go. At the tom's first words, Spiderpaw had to use every bit of self-control she possessed (which wasn't a lot, mind you) to keep her eyes from rolling. Mouse-brain, she thought in slight annoyance although she enjoyed watching Sunblaze make a fool of himself. It was amusing. "Dear me. I'm so sorry O mighty Sunblaze. I would have thought that the fresh-kill pile was as full as could be." she hissed softly under her breath, making sure that the ginger warrior who had started on ahead couldn't hear. "Sorry." she spat a bit louder now, not sounding sorry at all as she trotted forward to follow her mentor.
OOC: There she goes xD She is a little cranky.. sorta.. lol. And it's fine. I'm sorry for such a lame post x3
