~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ -->Sunblaze paddedinto camp and dropped his prey onto the fresh kill pile. It was so large, he wasn't sure how even the whole clan was going to finish it. Of course that was never a bad thing, he only wished they could save some of it for Leaf-bare. Shrugging, he picked out a plump rabbit from the pile without feeling any guilt, and started padding over to a sunny patch in the center of camp.
-->Sunblaze enjoyed being in the center of just about anything. As long as it was making him the center of attention, he really couldn't be much happier. Smiling, he took a bite out of his fresh kill and did a quick scan of camp. He liked trying to guess how many of the cats would end up coming over to sit with him. It was usually quite a few, since he was very popular with almost every one of them. Camp was bustling this morning, and everyone was out to enjoy the nice weather. Sunblaze liked days like this, not really because of the pleasant breeze or the clear blue sky, he liked them because it meant more cats would be out to admire him. And judging by the fact that that just about the whole clan was in camp to eat and share tongues, Sunblaze guessed that at least 3 she-cats and a couple toms would be over in no time.
-->He arranged himself in a relaxed position, spreading out on his side so that all of his assets were visible. Sunblaze was proud of his looks, and he had very good reason to be. His light orange fur flowed in the breeze, and his golden eyes sparkled in the sunlight. Not to mention his muscle-y frame and his long tail. He put on the mischievous smile that always had the she-cats running and continued to chew on the delicious rabbit. Life was good.
((OOC: Made it kinda short because I want people to build off of it. ;3 He's gonna be fuuuun.))
Beauty is power, A smile is its sword. ::Foxfeather:: After bounding over to the fresh-kill pile and picking out a juicy rabbit, not too plump of course, Foxfeather pondered where to sit. Looking about the camp, she saw a bunch of she-cats gathered together, gossiping about clan life. The fiery orange she-cat scoffed. Definetly not there. After scanning the camp, her orange eyes landed on a handsome tom by the name of Sunblaze. Smiling slyly, Fox blushed. The two cats had been friends since apprentice-life, but only recently had they begun flirting with each other. It was quite amusing, actually. She strolled over to where he lay, swishing her hips and tail as she did so. "Hey." She mewed quietly, and ran her whispy orange tail over his ears teasingly. The gorgeous she-cat flashed a prize-winning smile in his direction, and lay next to him, giving him a quick lick on the cheek. Taking a small bite out of her rabbit, she winked his way. Of course, he was familiar with her flirting games and often joined in. She couldn't wait to see his first move.Although, her small crush and flirting games were developing into something bigger inside of Foxfeather, but she was unaware of the feeling. Quickly, she reached over and took a bite out of Sunny's rabbit, even though she had her own. She deliberatly touched noses with him, and then she smiled with true scincerity. "What are you going to do today Sunny?" Fox inquired, entwining her tail with her friend's. Their orange pelts meshed together, creating one big orange cat. In the passing breeze, her cheek fur flowed beautifully, showing her charm just the way she wanted it to. A blush spread down her whiskers all the way to her tail. It made her feel good to be with this tom, just his presence was enough. ((OOC: Can't wait for more!! Sorry for how short, I got to go. I can't wait for the cats to become mates!!;3;3)) ::Foxfeather::
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ -->Letting his eyes close, Sunblaze felt his namesake's warmth sink into his fur. He had always been partial to warm, sunny days, but he could never be sure if his love of the sun came before or after his name. Either way, he let his mind wander while he soaked in the rays. The first place it wandered to was the pretty, young she-cat that had taken a particular interest in him lately. Foxfeather. Her name drifted into his head like the breeze. He had realized that he was beginning to really like the she-cat. She was pleasant, pretty, and smart. But she wasn't like the other she-cats, and that's why Sunblaze had taken a liking to her. She was wild, and unpredictable. He never knew what to expect from her, and it was a nice change from the usual flirting that he got from other she-cats.
-->His eyes still closed, he could almost smell her. In fact, her scent grew stronger and stronger in his nose, until he opened his eyes and realized she was walking towards him. She had a plump rabbit as well, and he smiled, liking the fact that they shared even this slightest similarity. He flashed a grin at her as she walked toward him, and rearranged himself slightly, to make himself even more presentable. She walked over, and licked his cheek. Sunblaze was not expecting that, and was flustered for a split second before getting back on track. He smiled as she winked at him, growing more delighted by the minute that she had come to sit with him. He winked back, but then took a bite of his rabbit, keeping his cool. He never liked to give a she-cat to much to go on too quickly, it was part of his appeal. So he just flashed another smile at her and tapped his tail on her back.
-->He was finding it much harder to stay calm and collected than it usually was with other she-cats. It was an odd feeling, and Sunblaze wasn't sire how to deal with it. He tried to shake it off by stretching a little, and that helped momentarily. But his heart was beating slightly faster than usual. What was this feeling? It was odd, and he wasn't sure what to make of it. He kept his guard up now, waiting for her next move. He was surprised when she snatched a piece of his rabbit, and then touched noses with him. He was expecting it, so he kept calm, but in the inside he was starting to stir. She was acting so freely! Touching noses was something the mates usually did. Sunblaze definitely did not consider them mates, not yet at least. But did she? He didn't think so, but it was something to think about.
-->Her tail found his, and they intertwined. This was even more shocking to Sunblaze, but he still managed to keep his calm appearance on the outside. It was something he was very used to doing. He smiled at her, and she smiled back. Then she finally spoke again: "What are you going to do today Sunny?" He looked away from her, not wanting to seem to eager. He liked hearing her voice. "I didn't have any plans. Did you have something in mind?" He asked this with a playful smile, more curious than usual to see how she'd respond.
((OOC: He's turning out to be even more fun than I thought. ;D This is gonna be awesome.))

Beauty is power, A smile is its sword. ::Foxfeather:: Do you have something in mind?Actually, Foxfeather did have something in mind, but she wasn't about to say it out loud. Smiling a smile as bright as the afternoon sun, she flicked her tail on the soft, dew-filled grass. Her blazing orange pelt was reflecting the sun to create a gorgeous illusion that melted the hearts of passing clanmates. "Surprisingly, no! Nothing it on the agenda for me today. But whatever you want to do..." The pretty she-cat's voice trailed off into the wind, whiched carried her voice in the breeze. Her amber eyes twinkled as the gave her black tipped paws some quick licks, to be sure that nothing would get in her way when she pulled her next stunt. Considering she was laying down, she edged her way closer to Sunblaze until she was leaning on him in a relaxed fashion. Her left paw draped over his paw, and she moved her tail side to side, brushing away annoying leaves and other sticks and twigs. Her rabbit was still nearby, and she nipped at it, and accidently squeaked a little when she did so. That made her laugh, a shimmering, delicate laugh that normally made her friends burst with joy. The Windclanner had such a unique laugh. A tune was stuck in her head from the last gathering, and she was dying to hum it. Right when she was about to, all the feeling flew out of her and she sang loudly, attracting a few stares from all directions. "Windclan is the bestest in the forest, No prey can think to escape us! Shadowclan, Riverclan, Thunderclan beware! Foxfeather with give you quite a scare, if you even dare, pick on Windclan kittes!"She had made it up with Hawktalon for fun when they were fooling around at the gathering. It had been a blast, and Foxfeather was the one who had made the part about her in it, and it was fun to make up. Now her crush would know it too! She broke out laughing yet again, and cuddled up with Sunblaze. "I..." The orange she-cat gasped, for she had almost spoken the words she longed to say...I love you. She prayed to Starclan he hadn't picked up on what she was going to say. She rested her fluffy head on his shoulder and sighed, laying her tail over his black. It was alreagy a perfect day. ::Foxfeather:: ((OOC: I love this!!! Yay!!))

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ -->Sunblaze was staring at the she-cat, maybe too intently to be ignored, but he didn't care. He loved watching her. Watching her talk, watching her move. Just looking at her face. He closed his eyes, reassembled his thoughts, and paid attention to what she was actually saying. "Surprisingly, no! Nothing it on the agenda for me today. But whatever you want to do..." He couldn't help but smile at this, it was exactly what he wanted her to say. He smiled even more, but tried to keep his cool, as she leaned against him. He loved the feeling of her next to him, their fur mashed together to create a swirl of orange stripes. Their kits would be very orange. Sunblaze was startled by the fact that he had even considered kits this early in their relationship. It wasn't even a relationship yet, not to him at least. And although that didn't mean that he didn't want a relationship with her, they were just friends....very good friends.
He realized that she must have gotten tired of waiting for him to say something, because she burst into song. He remembered watching her and Hawktalon compose it, and laughing with them. That seemed so long ago, and he wondered if he could remember having feelings for her back then. It was only half a moon ago, but was it possible that his crush had grown so quickly? His thoughts turned back to the present. He had been thinking and eating this whole time, which was very unlike him. He hoped he hadn't bored her, or given her time to think better of this thing they had going.
His mind came back to the day's schedule. He had plans to go hunting with her, but it definitely wasn't because the fresh-kill pile was running low. No, he wanted to spend more time with her so he could try to figure out this budding feeling he had in his chest. It was odd, he had never felt it so strongly before. With other she-cats, it was like a small light light peeking through the branches of a tree, but with her it was like running across a field in the blazing sun. Yes, like the blazing sun...
-->Thinking about it, running through the field sounded nice, they could be like carefree apprentices, just doing it for the fun and excitement of it all. He wondered what she would think of the idea. It sounded a little bit stupid in his head, and for the first time in a long time, he was nervous to say something. He shook off the feeling and did what he always did, he just said it. "Well, I was thinking about going hunting in the fields, maybe just spending some time out of camp for a while. Do you want to come?" He was glad he had phrased it that way, casually asking if she'd like to come along, like it was an afterthought, like he hadn't been thinking about asking her for days now. He hoped she would say yes, but he didn't doubt it. Rarely any she-cat had ever denied spending time with him before, especially not one that had been so openly flirting with him.
-->For a moment he wondered if it was all some cruel joke, if she was just messing with his mind to get back at him for....something. Sunblaze was well aware of the few cats that didn't like him. Those sort of feelings stand out when most every other cat close to worships you. But he had never sensed that sort of hate, or even dislike, from Foxfeather. She wouldn't be tricking him, she couldn't be. The worst part was that he really would be devastated if he lost her. With these thoughts in mind, and without showing it, he nervously awaited her reply.
"Oi! Spiderpaw! How can ya still be sleepin' on just a loooovely day?" a voice pretty much shouted into the ears of the ebony apprentice that lay curled up in her nest. Haunting green- yellow eyes flickered open and glared at the speaker. With a growl, the apprentice, Spiderpaw, staggered onto her paws. "I hate the fact that sleep doesn't make you stupid and slow enough to keep quiet. Besides, it's only dawn mouse - brain. Sad that your eyes can't spot that fact and your brain can't tell the difference of the times of the day, Ravenpaw." Spiderpaw spat in irritation, her own globes meeting Ravenpaw's blue ones briefly. The equally as black tom just offered his sister a fleeting smile, used to her prickly and arrogant attitude.
With a grunt, the female 'paw shook her long fur free of the bits of bracken that clung to her, giving herself a quick grooming before climbing out of her nest. She looked around the apprentice den and her gaze was met with the steadily rising bodies of other sleeping apprentices. This sight fed the apprentice's bubbling irritation and she glared at her brother once more as she padded out of the den. Side by side, the siblings stepped into the sun's weak rays, their muscles rippling underneath their jet black pelts as the sun touched their lithe bodies. Spiderpaw glanced at Ravenpaw, a questioning gleam in her eyes. "I er.. thought that we could.. ya know.. go out of camp.." Ravenpaw mumbled in response. "T-to go hunting I meant.. Fresh-kill pile looks rather small today.." he finished lamely. "Oh right. When the pile's fit-to-burst, you consider it rather small." the raven - furred female quipped in her usual sarcastic manner. Pleased to have at least slightly embarrassed her brother, by the look on his muzzle, Spiderpaw gave a brief smirk, her sharp ivory teeth standing out against her jet black pelt.
She leaned over to nudge her brother, a sigh accompanying the unusually down-to-earth gesture. Ravenpaw stared at his sister, raising an invisible brow at her. "Hurry up, kit. Haven't got all day you know." Spiderpaw growled, moving forward at a trot to the WindClan entrance. Her brother gave a small grin, knowing that his sister wouldn't stay all kind and what-not forever. "No idea why he couldn't wake Duskpaw up instead of me.." she grumbled under her breath as she took the lead through the territory.
Just after daybreak, the siblings loped back into the camp, their jaws full of prey: Ravenpaw a sparrow and three mice, and Spiderpaw a rabbit nearly as large as she was with two mice. "Hah! I got more prey than ya did!" Ravenpaw was gloating, his gait more of a prance. "Stuff it, little mouse. My rabbit's almost as big as I am, bigger than you are, so it counts for.. three mice." Spiderpaw mumbled, her voice muffled. The fact that the rabbit couldn't be bigger than her brother, seeing as he was slightly larger than she, was a complete lie. But hey, she had a reputation to maintain, even if it meant lying a bit.
The pair dropped their catch onto the rather large fresh - kill pile with gleaming eyes. The black 'paw picked up a mouse from the top of the pile and padded toward the apprentice, laying beside the entrance to eat. Her brother padded up to join her and sat beside her, dropping a sparrow onto the ground. "So.. What's this I hear about ya and Bouncepaw?" the tom asked casually, his eyes fixed on his prey as he ate. Spiderpaw, who had been expecting an entirely different question, looked at her brother, the disdain clear in her haunting yellow - green gaze. "That, is a load of mouse - dung, kit. Why would I be interested in someone as annoying as you are?" the 'paw growled contemptuously as she finished her mouse. Giving the tom one last scorching look, the apprentice looked about camp instead. There were more cats outside than there had been at dawn now. She spotted her mother, Heatherspring pad out of the warriors den and gave the warrior a small wave of greeting, which was returned almost immediately. Resuming her scanning, she spotted the one cat which she had been waiting for since she had woken up.
Laying down with his fur and paws arranged carefully, the ebony 'paw narrowed her eyes in half - amusement, half - contempt as her gaze fell on Sunblaze, the hotshot of WindClan, also known as.. her mentor. Despite her pining to go for training, Spiderpaw stayed where she was, her eyes now following the path of another warrior, Foxfeather, as she made her way to the ginger tom. "I wish we could go and train already.." Spiderpaw meowed in frustration, rolling onto her back. Go and ask him then. I dare ya. Betcha won't do it!" Ravenpaw dared her with a glint in his eyes. "I'll do it." Spiderpaw retorted almost immediately, rolling back onto her paws before standing up. With a sneering look at Ravenpaw, the apprentice padded toward her mentor and Foxfeather, who was now laying by him.
As she came closer, she heard Foxfeather burst into song and felt like bursting into laughter, although she didn't. Pretty much right in front of the warriors and she heard her mentor asking Foxfeather if she would like to go with him out of camp. "Hey lovebirds. Sunblaze, that's the best idea I have ever heard you suggest before. You should definitely keep it up. We can train while you 'spend time out of camp', right?" the apprentice meowed easily, stepping into the conversation without invitation.
Hell yeah she had a lot of nerve.
So how could this be done by such a smiling sweetheart… Littlekit watched the fluttering of the camp round him, his eyes narrowed slightly. He wished he was old enough, or even big enough, to join the apprentices on their hunts. He wished he could tag along with the warriors on border patrol. His gaze alighted on Ravenpaw and Spiderpaw as they dragged their fresh-kill back in from the moors. He felt his fur fluff up with excitement; he could join the apprentice in the camp, at least! His mother and his brother were asleep, and no one was around to shoo him back into the nursery.
His little tail waved with excitement as he dropped to his belly, slinking out of the nursery entrance and across the cool ground of the camp. His star, white and black fur stood out like a beacon against the earthy tones of the dirt around him, but he neither knew nor noticed. His tiny paws thumped against the ground as he snuck towards Spiderpaw and Ravenpaw, only to feel a slash of disappointment as the she-cat heaved to her paws and padded over to Sunblaze and Foxfeather. He lifted himself up and out of his crouch, swiping his tongue over one paw as he tried to decide what to do next.
Would the warriors be angry at him if they saw he’d left the nursery? And what would Spiderpaw think? Fogkit had always told him he should stick close to the nursery; he was much too small to be wandering around on his own. And his mother had imprinted the importance of sticking close on Littlekit, telling him he’d get in big trouble with any other cat if he was caught outside. But her warnings were quickly pushed to the back of his mind as he decided it was much better being outside than being cooped up in that stuffy old nursery. His nose and whiskers twitched in annoyance as he thought of his brother, and how Fogkit was always picking on him. He couldn’t even escape it; he was stuck in there with his mean brother, and his mother never did anything to stop the teasing.
In fact, she impressed on him that his size was a weakness, and to be strong, he’d have to start training as a kit. He was nearing his time to be an apprentice, but he was still much smaller than any other cat his age, especially his brother. That didn’t stop Littlekit from wanting to be an apprentice, and didn’t stop him from wanting to bother the other apprentices. Dropping back onto his belly, he started crawling off in the direction Spiderpaw had taken, following along in the she-cat’s wake, until he was only a few feet away from her. Her twitching tail was the perfect target. He chanced a peek around her at Sunblaze and Foxfeather, and, deciding it’d be worth it to cause the she-apprentice a fright, Littlekit leapt as high as he could, and came down with a yowl on top of Spiderpaw’s tail, claws unsheathed, with the ferocity of a tiny hurricane.
…You're so naive yet you're such an ugly thing.
Beauty is power, A smile is its sword. ::Foxfeather:: "Hey lovebirds. Sunblaze, that's the best idea I have ever heard you suggest before. You should definitely keep it up. We can train while you 'spend time out of camp', right?" To be honest, Foxfeather was quite dissapointed in this newcomer's sudden appearence. But, she liked apprentices, and felt she could cope with this one. Without moving from her relaxed position on Sunblaze, she smiled at Spiderpaw and flicked her tail in her direction. "I suppose training would give us something to do, wouldn't you say Sunny?" She whispered, licking his spine as she waited for him to respond. Her soothing licks stroked his flank, and she closed her amber eyes before turning back to the black she-cat. Even though Sunblaze's apprentice had an attitude, the orange she-cat liked that in a cat. It gave them character. Standing up slowly, she was sad that her special day with her crush was ruined, but this apprentice also gave her an excuse to tag along with her friend. She knew that he would need help with this cat, and she would be right by his side to lend a hand...er...paw. Running her whispy tail across her lazy friend's back, she helped him up(by forcing him of course). Sharing a glance with him, her eyes spoke. I know how much you wanted to have a day with me, and I want to as well. But if we don't train with her she will never-go-away!Just as she was about to head off with Sunblaze and Spiderpaw, she saw Littlekit pounce onto the black apprentice's tail. Surpressing a purr, she batted him off with a single paw. Just because this kit was smaller than the others didn't mean she would treat him any differently. That would be unfair to both the other kits and Littlekit himself. It really bothered her how mothers always named their kits based on appearence. Couldn't they wait until their personalities developed first? "Hello Littlekit! What brings you out of the nursery so early?" Fos spoke with humor in her tone and a shimmering smile on her muzzle. Despite all these new arrivals, she was in a pretty good mood. But just in case Sunny was thinking she was ignoring him, she pressed up agianst him and whispered osftly in his ear where no one else could hear her words. " Tonight you and me, we will share a meal with no disruptions. I really like you, and would rather spend my whole day with you than with Starclan." The soft words she spoke were all true, that is how much the Windclan she-cat really cared about him. She was falling deeper and deeper into a spell known as "love". Looking back at the bundle of white terror that was still recovering from a short blow with her paw, she play-fought with him for a minute or two, keeping him amused before she padded of with Sunblaze, waiting for Spiderpaw to follow. ::Foxfeather::
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ -->Sunblaze was within a second of replying to Foxfeather when he was interrupted by his young apprentice. He growled slightly in frustration, and his tail swished angrily from side to side. He didn't move however, and hoped that Fowfeather would do the same. Who did Spiderpaw think she was? What kind of cat would be this rude, interrupting a moment that was obviously not meant to be interrupted. And especially an apprentice, not to mention that the black 'paw was his own. Unfortunately. Didn't she have anything better to be doing? Didn't she have fellow apprentices to play fight with? That's all Sunblaze could remember of the days before his warrior ceremony.
-->"Hey lovebirds. Sunblaze, that's the best idea I have ever heard you suggest before. You should definitely keep it up. We can train while you 'spend time out of camp', right?" Ugh. For the millionth time it seemed, he wished that he had been given a better apprentice. Or better yet, no apprentice at all. It would be so easier if Spiderpaw fell head over paws after him, like all the other she-cats. But no, he was left to battle it out with her every waking moment. He too k a deep breath, and sighed, determined not to let his frustration show.
-->He was now faced with a difficult situation. At this moment, he wanted to spend the day with Foxfeather more than anything else in the world. And for a moment he was going to hiss at his apprentice to leave them alone. But a small voice in the back of his mind told him that he had an obligation to his apprentice, no matter how annoying she was. His mind raced between the two options, and he was relieved when Foxfeather spoke. "I suppose training would give us something to do, wouldn't you say Sunny?" He smiled at the she-cat, his affection for her growing. Although training Spiderpaw with Foxfeather wasn't conventional, or what he had originally hoped for, it was an acceptable compromise. He nodded.
-->Not surprisingly, Foxfeather greeted the small kit that had just bounced out of the nursery. Sunblaze didn't know the kit by name, but learned that his name was Littlekit once Foxfeather greeted it. And once again, watching this tiny little being, the orange tom's thoughts drifted once again to the possibility of kits of his own someday. He carefully pushed the notion to the back of his mind before turning his attention back to the day's plans.
-->Looking back at Spiderpaw, he put on his most cheerful smile. Knowing that his cheery personality was what irked her the most, he figured it was the best way to get revenge for her irresponsible actions before. He then turned to look at Foxfeather, and addressed her, but also Spiderpaw. "I think a training session in the fields with two of my favorite cats..." (And with these words he gave a pointed and facetious wink to his apprentice.) ...would be the perfect thing to make this day even better." He looked at Foxfeather with a slightly apologetic smile, and stood up.
-->Before he could move towards the camp entrance, he turned to see Foxfeather beside him, and she whispered something into his ear: "Tonight you and me, we will share a meal with no disruptions. I really like you, and would rather spend my whole day with you than with Starclan." He smiled at Foxfeather, and purred, following the usual routine when a she-cat said something along those lines to him. But this time there was something truly genuine about his affections, and he was truly looking forward to the evening now. Wanting to express these feelings to her, he pressed himself against her side and whispered, "I couldn't ask for a better night. This will give us a chance to be alone." and with those last words he glanced at Spiderpaw, and then back at Foxfeather, trying to express his apologies for the intruder on their special day.
