OOC: Someone please? ___________________________________________ Actions. thoughts"Speech." ___________________________________________ Dawnkit admired the weak sunshine that showered the camp, it reminded her of green-leaf, the beautiful vibrant plants and the sunshine that heated up all the clan's pelts. She longed that Leaf-Bare would be over so it can make way for the tiny buds of New-Leaf. And hopefully; she would be one of those buds, growing into an strong determined apprentice. She jumped up onto her rounded paws and scuttled toward the fresh-kill pile, a patrol of warriors had stocked it up with two finches and a mouse. The trio where scrawny and barely contained enough meat for a kitten let alone a whole clan. All Dawnkit wanted was a large plump mouse that she could pass on to her mother, to pull off the in-edible (for a kit) pieces of the warm pray. Clutching hold of the mouse, Dawnkit wanted a taste; she hadn't had a mouse in days and it was all she longed for. Only eat what you need, she recited to herself as she dug her teeth into its flesh. It was delicious, the hot body had been satisfying along her taste buds and she longed for more; but this was all she could intake. She stared back at the half-eaten mouse, what a waste! I better give it to someone to finish it off. she glared across the camp; longing for a hungry cat to trot by at this very moment.

Harmonypaw You're gonna miss this You're gonna want this back Her dark pelt heavy with snow she dragged ehr tired paws through the entrance. She paused dropping her catch just inside the entrance and glancing at at it a look of mixed emotion flashed in her eyes. Disappointment, shame, frustration, and exhaustion could be seen by any on looker in the eyes of this she-cat. A single, scrawny thrush sat at her paws her eyes focused on it, yet her mind drifting. Stormbelly would be disappointed, not to mention Dancingbreeze. She thought and flicked her tail irritably before bending down and picking up the thrush and padding toward the freshkill pile. The dusting of snow on her pelt had begun to melt, and was sinking into her fur, weighing her down, and causing the wind to seep right through her pelt and make her shiver once or twice. She flicked her paws as she walked trying to get the circulation moving in them again, for she could barely feel them with the snow and ice packed between her toes and in her claws. She sighed and dropped her catch on the pile, noticing for the first time the kit nearby.
She quickly shook her pelt watching water and snow spray from her sodden pelt, flashing in the weak sunshine before hitting the ground and vanishing. She took a deep breath and wracked her brain, trying to think of the kits name. Sunkit...no. Morningkit? No...It's something like that. She paused and glanced over at the kit a smile spreading over her face as she thought back to her own kithood. She remembered learning to only eat what she needed, and she gathered, by the half eaten mouse in front of the kit, that this was what she was attempting to do. Dawnkit! The name hit her like a breath of fresh air and she padded forward still flicking her paws slightly, and looking, more than likely, very silly. "Hey Dawnkit!" She said enthusiastically, coming to a halt near the kit and lifting a paw to her mouth to start working on the ice and snow packed in it.
She smiled at the kit, knowing, even in her young age, that someday Dawnkit would miss being a kit. No matter how much she wanted to become an apprentice. There was always something she herself looked back on with fondness. She assumed that everycat looked back on their kithood in such a way. "How's that mouse?" She asked a sidelong glance at it, before she felt her belly rumble at the scent of freshkill before her. If offered, she'd finish that mouse with no problem, but she wouldn't if there were others who needed it more. She switched paws realizing that this was still the beginning of leaf-bare, and that prey was already scarce. She wondered if it was always like this. She would have to ask Stormbelly, or Dancingbreeze, whoever she saw first. You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast These are some good times (Lyrics Credit to "You're Gonna Miss This" by Trace Adkins)
