it was the bloodiest of them all by dino bones this is a poem i wrote for english about the battle of gettysburg. i hope you like it. i did work pretty hard on it.
“four score and seven years ago” the great man lincoln declared on that devastating day of sorrow it lifted up the spirits of the depressed
each soldier cast his gaze upon the field mentally mourning the ones who died the tears that they have to yield for fear of looking weak to the enemy
all the american blood that was shed 7863 killed in the 3 day onslaught no one will ever forget the lost and dead for years we will mourn and grieve
when robert e. lee’s army marched north they intended to show the union their power and so the union army came forth they came to bring the battle to the u.s.a
the first day started on the first of july where men on both sides fought for their lives they struggled and toiled underneath a blue sky the confederates chased the union into the city
the next on july second eighteen sixty three most of the day the armies prepared ditches and such four o’ clock, the armies clashed for slaves to be free the union managed to gain the win this time
picket’s charge to took place the next day the rebels advanced upon the northerners position the north took revenge and made them wear away the southerners fell and the battle was won
the turning point of the war of which the north began to win as they never ever had before but it came at a price
“four score and seven years ago” the great man lincoln declared on that devastating day of sorrow it lifted up the spirits of the depressed
