Violetwhisper I've been exiled, persucuted Left alone with no defense She slid thorough the shadows, slinking from shadow to shadow almost invisible her blackpelt giving her a specter like appearance in the night. She flicked her tail and paused, where the trees fell away to the lake shore. She looked out over the lake, the moon shimmered reflecting off the water, it's quarter dancing halfway up the sky. She had a lot of time to get to the meeting. Of course she wanted to be the first there, she had called it of course. It wouldn't do well for her to show up late. She moved forward a shadow on the ground, with glinting violet eyes. She slid through her territory and to the allowed three tail-lengths from the lake. She stayed well within it not wanting to draw to much attention to her leaving camp, and headed to the island. Her pawsteps were sure and confident, filled with excitement. She slid over the ground, barely moving a pebble, the wind to her face, carrying the scent of other cats, other clans territories.
She came to the fallen tree and leapt to the height of it, digging her claws into the bark and pulling herself up gracefully. She stood atop it for a moment looking out over the clans her tail stood straight over her back. She flicked it once and bounded forward across the well worn path, marked by claws and ancient pawsteps. Most of the bark had been worn away, even most of the branches on the top were broken where cats had fallen into the river, or wind had seized them and pulled them away. She came to the end of the tree and leaped off continuing her race to the center of the island where there was a large clearing. This was where the clans met every full moon to share news. Why not have the decoys meet here as well. She smiled at the sheer genius of her own plan. She flicked her ears and came to a stop in the cente rof the clearing. She looked up at the large rock that stood at the far side of the clearing. atop that the leaders would sit. She smirked and bounded forward taking the boulder in one leap and clawing her way to the top, leaving white marks where her claws scraped the rock. She took note of the other marks, where leaders had clambered for ages, some could even be from the great Firestar himself. She scowled flicking her ears back against her dark skull before looking out over the clearing. Nothing to do now but wait She said pulling her haunches under and tucking her tail around her paws.
She had got word to the decoys for a meeting, knowing that she didn't know who they'd all brought to their side. She'd snuck into each camp spoken to the decoy's she'd known and slipped back out unnoticed. She let her claws slip out and score marks against the rock beneath her. THe clans were so stupid, none of them knew the pain and suffering in store for them soon. They didn't know that Crimsonstar was the one true leader of all the clans. That she would lead them to greatness, protect them in the trials to come, but only if the decoys gained power. They needed to see whom they worked with. They needed to know who they were working with, who was on the winning side, and this was the time to see that. She flicked her ears realizing he kit she'd poisoned might be here tonight and she smiled lightly at the knowledge that she'd brought at least her into their fold. She smiled knowing she would be a valued addition to their group. She also realized that she didn't know all of the cats she worked with in her own clan. She smiled knowing tonight would change that. She flicked her ears forward hearing the first thump of feet racing toward the clearing from the fallen tree. When I think of what that brute did I get a little tense (Lyrics Credit to "My Lulluby" From Lion King 2)

r e p a w[/ul] Sometime’s its harder to wait for gathering than it should be. At least that’s how it was with real clan gathering. Now though, it was time for all decoy’s out there to gather upon the very same island. Firepaw was having difficulties waiting. He was waiting for his mentor Ebonyleaf, but she still was nowhere to be found. He flicked his smoky gray tail impatiently. He knew that sitting in camp, completely still, might be alarming for other cats. He looked around again, unable to find his mentor. HE growled impatiently and leapt out of camp. His paws aided him in racing across the moors. The wind felt good on his face, and his lips curled up in a smile. He slowed only when he reached the lake shore. Then he paused again, watching the waves lap at the shore. He looked at his dusty coat and began to lick it softly, knowing that he could not present himself to the decoy leader looking as though he just rolled in the fields that made up his territory.
His coat was finally clean enough for him and he continued to walk upon the shore, feeling as though he was about to meet death herself. He shivered in fear but continued to pad forward, knowing that he would have to impress this leader of his. The leader he had pledged his life to. That leader who he would probably die for. What an interesting prospect. He laughed to himself and then leapt upon the tree bridge, his claws provided grip and he stalked along. The smoky gray tom leapt off the bridge and into the clearing. His eyes immeadiatley went to the leader’s pedestal, a large rock, and the cat upon it. He held his breathe and looked at her, wincing. The leader of decoy’s was a her. He composed his face and looked her in the eyes.
Greetings. My name is Firepaw and my mentor is Ebonyleaf. I am here to pledge myself to your decoy services, until I die.
He bowed his head for a second and then he caught his breath, waiting for her to speak, waiting for her to deliver the verdict. He risked a look at the cat. She was one of those cats that sensible clanmates stay away from, with her bright violet eyes and midnight black coat. Here he stood though, looking the she-cat in the eye and pledging his life to her. Firepaw stood tall and proud, afraid of her reaction if he were to show any signs of fear. He raised his head only slightly.

E B O N Y L E A F , The moon was bright in the sky when the young decoy's eyes gazed upon it. It seemed to sit steady in the dark night, the only bright thing left in the world. Only a quarter of the white surface showed in the sky and it was this that alerted Ebonyleaf to the next meeting. Slipping swiftly out of the den; she had no time to waste, she made her way across the camp. She needed to be swift yet careful, for a clanmate to spot her now would be beyond dreadful. She needed to focus, though, negative thoughts could make her loose concentration and she could not afford that either. The lake shore shimmered in her memory, it was her goal and necessity, this moonlit night. Of course, she would then cross to the island. That was where all these meetings had been held. Her paws slipped silently over the open moors as she kept herself as low as possible. She found herself growing more and more exhilirated as she approached the shores. She wondered if any of her clamates had yet to arrive at the island. Ebonyleaf hoped she would not be the last; she would find that awfully embarassing.
She reached the shoreline only a few moments later, feeling her heart racing. The moon glittered overhead and she was glad of it's light. The fallen tree approached her, it's dark branches looming rather unexpectedly. She braced herself, feeling her hindquarters bunch underneath her. She lifted herself up, enjoying the brief rush of fresh air upon her pelt. Her claws scored the dark bark, her black eyes noting that a fresh pair of claw marks already lay etched into it's surface. She retracted her own, hastening across the large trunk. She now allowed herself to travel with more speed and less stealth, while still remaining cautious. She could not scent many cats, however, on the brief opportunities she took to sniff the air around her. Two, it seemed, or three were already present. She would only have to round the last bend before she would be upon them. Her eyes first fell upon Violetwhisper, standing tall and proud, the obvious leader and center of attention. She knew this instantly from the way she sat upon the rock. It was high above all else in the clearing and marked her as the leader; at least for tonight. She knew she should watch herself around that cat, she seemed to hold herself with a presence that suggested she was not to be messed with.
With a jolt somewhere near her heart, she saw the small form of her new apprentice. She felt dislike as she looked upon him, followed almost immediately by guilt. She should not be feeling this way. . not yet. He was one of them and should be treated with respect by her, despite his young age. He spoke, now, and she listened in, getting an idea of how she could, perhaps, present herself at this three - cat - gathering. He spoke so confidently she felt a hint of pride tug at her emotions, combatted with the instant feeling that she had had no part to play in his confidence. With a brief sigh, she hastened to stand by his side. She too gazed up into the violet eyes of the cat standing many rabbit - lengths above them. She admired for a brief heartbeat, the way her pelt seemed to be blacker than the night that surrounded them. 'My name is Ebonyleaf, said mentor of Firepaw. I too, will serve the decoy service until I part this life.' She gazed at the she - cat, willing her to accept her without question, be pleased with her, even.

Violetwhisper But I dream a dream so pretty That I don't feel so depressed Her eyes flashed as an apprentice and a warrior bounded into the clearing she watched them, a look of pure power and superiority on her face. She felt powerful sitting there on the leaders rock, her claws scraping against the cold surface, her breath steaming the air. Her pelt was almost indistinguishable from the sky above except that it was not flecked with stars. It looked almost blacker than thenight around them, as the moons seemed to bend around her unable to reflect of a single white hair on her body it just melted into her fur forcing her to look even more the shadow of death that she felt she was. She brought her self back to the present and realized that the pair had both spoken. She flicked her ears and dipped her head slightly toward them greeting them. "I am Violetwhisper, Deputy to Crimsonstar, leader of the Decoy's" She said and her eyes flashed with superiority again. "And I welcome you to our ranks, may your blood burn with the desire to see Crimsonstar with great power." She said and looked at the smaller of the two. What was his name? Furpaw? no...Flamepaw? No...closer. Ahhh Firepaw. That's it. The thoughts quickly and her eyes looked them both over taking their strong legs, and deeper than avereage chests. Windclan no doubt She thought and took a deep breath allowing their scent to wash over her tongue.
True to her knowledge they were indeed from Windclan. She glanced around the clearing looking to see if others had entered, noting that they had not, she decided to remain where she was as to remind the otehrs of her position. As most only knew her name, some less than that, this would be a time for her to announce her place in their group and remind them that if somethign happened to Crimsonstar, Crimson forbid it She thought. That she would be the one to take over, she would be whom their loyalty lay with next, and as such she deserved respect and almost as much loyalty now as did Crimsonstar. She flicked her tail and blinked bringing herself back again to the present. "I live in Shadowclan, I can tell by your scent you are From Windclan. Tell me. What news is there from the moors? Do you know of Many Decoy's in your clan?" She asked widening her eyes to try and appear interested. She dared not glance around again, but her claws scraped against the rock again, if others did not show up they were in far deeper trouble than she had feared. 'Cause it soothes my inner kitty And it helps me get some rest (Lyrics Credit to "My Lullaby" from Lion King 2)
