Firepaw is aggressive; he believes that the only way to solve things is to fight. If you ever were to anger him or tease him, you’d likely end up wishing you hadn’t. Most of the time, he doesn’t oblige to the “no fighting among clan mates” rule. But no one knows it because most of the time he does it outside of camp and he does it so fast that he scares the other apprentices into silence. As it is, he has no friends based upon friendliness. Any friendship with Firepaw is a forced friendship based upon fear. Firepaw wasn’t just named for his fiery amber gaze. It was also based upon his behavior and personality.

He is also rude and obnoxious; he finds no need for manners. Why use manners when everyone you know is scared of you. He runs around and acts like he’s the boss of all cats younger than him. He finds no use in being kind either, again because everyone’s afraid of him. If you can claim to know Breezepaw of WindClan and then Crowfeather of WindClan, then you can claim to know exactly how Firepaw acts. For all anyone knows, he could be a descendant of either of them. Starclan knows he looks like them.

Firepaw, if you couldn’t already tell, is full of himself. He knows that he’s a good apprentice when it comes to hunting, and he’s definitely not afraid to flaunt it. This makes him easy to use however, because all you gotta do is fill his head full of compliments and he’d follow you to the ends of the earth. The only cat, who manages to bring him down to earth, is his mentor Ebonyleaf. He believes that she holds the key to success and that if he does as she does, he too will be looked up to.

Firepaw has a reason to be aggressive and rude and obnoxious and it’s simpler than one might think, but still so complicated for him. Firepaw is a half-clan cat. He was born on the Riverclan and WindClan border. Firepaw is afraid that if he lets anyone in, and tells them about who he truly is, that they will force him to leave WindClan, the clan that he knows in his heart he is truly loyal to. Only six cats in the clans know of his deadly little past: himself, Ebonyleaf, the WindClan leader, the Riverclan leader, his mother’s sister (Oceanpool) and his father.

Firepaw is clearly a WindClan cat, with a figure made of twigs. His long spider like legs helps to keep him off the ground and aid him in becoming a better hunter of rabbits (or other WindClan cats). A slim figure makes him aerodynamic and allows him to run even faster than ever. Everything about this tom is made to help him hunt and run faster, including his feather light bones. Don’t be fooled by looks however, he can still put up a good fight when needed. But hunting was clearly was what this cat was born to do.

Firepaw could resemble a miniature cheetah, that is, if he had spots. He has one spot, and its white, and it rests upon his otherwise smoky gray chest. Well Firepaw’s cheetah like build ends with his smoky gray coat. As earlier stated, Firepaw is almost completely smoky gray. His medium length double layer coat helps to keep the cold out. His top layer could be mistaken for kit down, but in truth it’s just really soft and fluffy. Many a clan cats have had their heads chewed off just for teasing him about it. His bottom layer has a wiry feel to it that could almost be Riverclan material, because it’s also water repellent. His heritage could be his fatal flaw, but you’ll have to read his personality to find out.

Okay so cheetahs have bright ambers eyes that melt into their coat, but Firepaw’s own amber eyes do the opposite. His smoky coat and white star do little compared to what his fierce amber eyes do. His eyes are round as the moon and they are clearly the only light in this charcoal sky. Fire always dances in his eyes, he is fierce and proud and his eyes are the best way to show it. He likes to pretend that he could look down on his fellow clan mates, but he can’t quite manage it at the moment.

As earlier stated, Firepaw was born a half clan cat. His mother was a faithful young Riverclan she-cat named Lostfeather and his father a lithe WindClan tom named WindScream. It was a typical Graystripe and Silverstream story. He saw her, fell in love, and pined after her until she too loved him. It wasn’t long before kits were to be expected. The kits were born on the border, and the mother died. WindScream went to the Riverclan leader and told him the truth. He also told the WindClan leader. Without telling anyone else, the four cats who were involved compromised on what to do with the kits. Firekit went to Windclan with his father to be suckled by a Windclan queen, and his sister Mistkit went to Riverclan to be suckled by Lostfeather’s sister.

Firekit was suckled by Nightcry, WindScream’s sister, who happened to have just given birth to two kits of her own. Firekit always knew that Nightcry was not his mother, due to the simple fact that she was his father’s sister. He treated the other two like his own siblings. He teased them and tortured them as only Firekit could. Nightcry tried to make him stop but was never strong enough to manage it. Within the first moon, both siblings had died of green cough. He was the only one left and he hogged Nightcry’s attention as only he could. He was shocked when his father came to visit him for the first time. From that second forward, his father only left his side when he had to.

As glad as Nightcry was to be free, she was proud of Firepaw when he became an apprentice. She was almost as proud as his father, and almost as proud of his mother up in Starclan. He didn’t know that he was half-clan until the night he became an apprentice. Firepaw was always rude, but he become even worse once he found out. He began to push his father away, questioning whether or not he was really Firepaw’s dad. He set his sights on becoming just like his mentor, Ebonyleaf. He set his sights on power and making sure no one could tease him ever. He has just begun to discover the world of decoys, but he plans on becoming one himself. On becoming just like Ebonyleaf.
