CEDARSTEP Cedarstep had hardly stepped foot out of the Warrior den that morning before orders were being barked in her direction. Not that she hadn't expected it though what with the ever approaching leaf-bare and the scarcely available food amongst the territory. More than once it was suggested that they venture onto the neighboring RiverClan in search of food but it would be pointless - have you ever seen a ShadowClan cat hunt? Nevertheless she was almost coming around to the idea after seeing the shape the new apprentices were in. The golden tabby frowned and chewed at her lower lip in worry. Hawkstar would be able to sort this out she hoped.
Ignoring the calls of her Clanmates she headed straight for the small hunting area of the Clan but as usual the scent of cats was overwhelming - any prey would smell the predators and flee with their lives... she couldn't really hunt well in these conditions. Nevertheless she didn't let it ruin her hunt instead she decided on new tactics even if it meant scouring the entire territory. Then it occurred to her - where would prey be attracted to that wasn't full of other cats? I was a risky venture but she promised herself it would work in her favor(probably) so without a second thought the pretty tabby headed towards the border of the twoleg nests.
As soon as the scent hit her nose she recoiled and flattened her ears. Before her stood rows upon rows of two-leg nests, as tall as the tallest tree each with different scents wafting through their seeing glasses polluting the fresh forest air behind her. She had been warned that this area was full of kittypets but so far if there was any then she didn't see them but just in case she kept to the undergrowth with her belly trailing but inches from the floor. A sudden bang from above froze her to the spot with her eyes wise with fear - something smelled like the thunderpath! The fearscent was practically oozing from her at this point with all her natural instincts begging her to flee but of course curiosity killed the cat...
She waited until all was silent again. How long she had been down there she had no idea but the sun was quickly dissapearing and she knew she couldn't return empty handed. Plus, she was sure she could hear scrambling within the dark wooden two-leg place at the bottom of the garden giving her a renewed sense of fearlessness. It was now or never she decided. She moved on stiff limbs but managed to jump the wooden barrier with little difficulty and landed on the other side with a soft 'flump'. There were no other animals around so she cautiously made her way towards the shed and had a sniff.
"Go poop John!"
A sudden squeak made her jump then the sound of jingling within the two-leg nest. She had just enough time to turn around when a large black and white dog bounded towards her, it's tongue lolling from its jaws. With a loud yowl she scrambled upwards until she was standing defensively on top of the felt roof. Never in her life had she been as fearful of anything in her entire life! She vowed never to lurk around the two-leg place as long as she lived! Oh StarClan, if anyone found out about this then she would be mocked to no end! Unfortunately her mind was not allowing any strategical thinking as long at this thing was lurking only taillengths beneath her. She was stuck until the twoleg pulled it away... if she did.
"Go away! I swear if I have to come down there I will rip you apart you... you slobberface!" She growled at her 'attacker' though her threats were much to be desired.

Snowpaw yawned at the sight of the plain orange leaves falling from the branches above the apprentice’s den. He could watch every crisp ginger leaf land neatly on the ground or listen to the playful mewls of the kits in the nursery if he liked being all cooped up in the camp. But he didn’t. Everything around him was bland and ordinary, not to say pretty much boring. Things seem to have a sophisticated cycle which happens every day. Snowpaw didn’t like the idea. He wanted to try something new and exciting this day. Snowpaw sneezed with the cold gust of wind blew across the clearing, entering the apprentice’s den as well as freezing his bones. He fell on a puddle full of rainwater the other day, and he was diagnosed with a chill when he went back to camp. He was forced to stay in camp because of this. Although he could rest or be with Redpaw the whole day, he missed the feeling of training with his mentor. His brother wouldn’t also allow him to sneak out, because he was the medicine cat’s apprentice. If he would be out, he knew Cricketleap or Redpaw would have to feed him all sorts of herbs if his condition worsens. Just as when Snowpaw was about to snooze for a bit, he saw a bright orange pelt walking out of the camp. The apprentice smiled, probably forgetting all the problems that he had. Maybe if he was to follow the warrior outside, he would be able to impress his mentor with his tracking skills. Since he has nothing else to do, he decided to tag along with the ginger warrior. He or she might have gone somewhere to hunt or just have a walk, but Snowpaw didn’t care as long as it gives him something to kill his boredom. His chance of escape came pretty much later than he expected. At least, there were only a few warriors in the camp by the end of sun-high. As he grasped the chance, the white apprentice slipped out of camp unnoticed and followed the scent trail left by the warrior. Fortunately, the trail he followed was still in-tact and easily led him towards the twoleg nest. As the trail ended, Snowpaw saw a large black-and-white dog and the ginger cat that left the camp earlier inside the fence. The cat was stuck on the nest’s roof while the dog barked its head off. “Hi Cedarstep!”OOC: I hope you don't mind Snowpaw popping in ^^

CEDARSTEP She had finally come to terms with the situation and was slowly but surely working out an escape route when a little voice popped out of nowhere. “Hi Cedarstep!” It called cheerfully from behind the fence. The ginger she-cat felt the colour drain from her face as she noticed the bright white apprentice watching up at her with little care. She would have told him to run for his life had she not been sure the dog had its attention and unwanted playfulness directed at her. It was close enough to smell the kittypet on its fur meaning chances were it's only intention was to play with her. It did not help.
"Snowpaw! What are you doing here? Oh this horrible creature! It scared away everything! How these things would survive without their two-legs I would never know." She growled resentfully down at the canine who had reigned itself to laying belly down, eyes bright and waiting for her. She lipped her lips in distaste and made her way to the furthest possible corner closest to the fence so she could see the young cat better. "... well, this is rather embarrassing." She meowed trying to hide her nerves. Apprentices were completely fearless in their naivety and she envied that.
[/size] N ot having known this kitten too well the little she did know about her was what had been displayed here already - cheerfulness and naivety. Well, if it was a little comfort to her at least as she was being licked and chewed on she would have a cheery little mascot yowling his encouragement from the sidelines. She sighed and balanced herself at the edge of the shed. If she leaped then she would have to cover at least eight times her body length and if not she would fall victim to the collie's affections. Not being known for her athleticism she gave herself a 30/50 chance of success... not good.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Snowpaw watched as the older cat managed to stay away from the large noisy dog. Cedarstep was clearly annoyed on how the black-and-white dog kept on trying to play with her. In fact, the ginger she-cat even started to spit offensive comments back to the dog. The dog, understanding not a word from Cedarstep’s insults, just kept on being too playful. Fortunately, the dog doesn’t seem aggressive than the other ones that Snowpaw have heard from the elder’s stories. It did not even show any of its sharp and jagged teeth, like what he had thought dogs were. The sick apprentice was about sneeze when he noticed the ginger she-cat walk towards his direction. She balanced her feet and it looked like she was about to jump. It looked like a pretty long way to jump for Snowpaw, but he wasn’t so sure for Cedarstep. She may have short legs like him, but she’s already a well-developed ShadowClan warrior. Snowpaw definitely had the definition of a ShadowClan warrior as the fiercest and most awesome cats in the lake in his mind. If she’s from ShadowClan, Cedarstep will definitely be able to fight the dog if she falls! The snowy white kitten quickly ran towards the fence and climbed it just to see the whole place. There was a wide field full of bright red and yellow flowers and a scent that smelled like catnip. He was tempted to leap down when he noticed the large dog barking faster and more loudly. He focused his gaze on his fellow ShadowClanner as he began to cheer for her. “I’ll catch you from here if you fall, Cedarstep,” he meowed cheerfully. “And even if you fall, I’m sure you can beat that stupid old dog. I’ll even join you defeat it if you want!”Snowpaw was growing more and more excited now. My trip out of the camp was definitely worth it. I bet Peachblossom would even praise me for tracking Cedarstep and defeating that dog. He was meowing more words of encouragement when a cold wind blew, chilling the white apprentice once again. As he sneezed, one of his paws slipped out of his grip from the fence. Snowpaw quickly pulled it back and reassured the ginger warrior. “I’m okay, I think.”

He had just gone to the dirtplace, the dirtplace, and already the snowy apprentice wasn't where he should have been; in his nest trying to rest up. Honestly, take your eyes off him for just a second and he'd go lumbering off to StarClan know's where! With a sigh, Redpaw loped towards the camp's entrance following Snowpaw's scent. The medicine cat apprentice was intent on finding his littermate.. But why? He never cared about his Clan, what more his littermate, the annoying, happy-go-lucky furball he called his 'brother'. Snowpaw had a cold. Just that was reason enough to abandon his task and search for his brother? Probably. Maybe. Yes. "Annoying little shrew-brain." the dark ginger tom grumbled as he followed the scents.
It was actually the yowls of a cat that caught his attention, followed by the breeze wafting the scents of Snowpaw and Cedarstep, a warrior from his own Clan though he couldn't have cared less. Raising an invisible brow, and slowed his pace to a walk and began forward towards the snarls. It wasn't long before he could see a dog staring at two felines, one his own brother. The apprentice stayed where he was, knowing that the warrior was capable of chasing the canine away. Meanwhile, he had to think of what to say to Snowpaw.. It was sometime before he realized that Cedarstep was actually in danger. Typical. he smirked, reluctantly unsheathing his claws. It wasn't that he hadn't been taught how to do a few battle moves, it was just the fact that he was so busy he didn't have any time to practice and so, didn't want to look like a fool in case he did anything wrong. "Well, guess I better go before I change my mind then." He stalked out into the open, his cold amber eyes fixed on the dog. "How brave of you Snowpaw. How would you fight? By sneezing at it?" Redpaw asked casually as if he was just asking what the weather would be like that day. "Give the command and I suppose I'll have to fight. Seems there isn't another way, is there? A sick apprentice and a warrior that is stuck on the fence doesn't seem like much of a challenge to a stink-pelt like him." he said, his gaze flicking to Cedarstep while jerking his head toward the dog.
OOC: I hope you don't mind my popping in, I couldn't resist :3 Oh, and feel free to kick out grumpy old Redpaw if you like x)
