I'm working on a new site. Yep. You heard it. Rather saw it. I haven't decided if Decoy Dreams will close down or not. Let's face it guys. Or activity hasn't been the greatest yet, and most of you guys don't listen to me when I tell you to log into your accounts at least once every two days. Not to point any fingers, and I know it's just a couple days after Thanksgiving and now it's almost Christmas time. My activity hasn't been amazing, either, so I'm partially blaming myself, too.
It's Warriors-based but it's not... You'll have to see it when it's open to know what I'm talking about. And because it doesn't have the same plot and it isn't this site moving, there won't be the same staff members. If the activity here doesn't pick up, then I'm closing this site down. Sorry. Plus, this plot has been tossed around from now four different sites including this one (they were all owned by me). I'm just getting tired of this whole decoy thing, not to mention the fact that nobody makes them anymore. And when nobody makes decoys, what's the point of the plot? There are just 11 decoys out of 58 cats in total. That's not a lot, guys. When I first created this decoy plot thing in November '10, I thought people would like being a decoy. I imagined there being half good cats and half bad cats so their could be a war. But now there can't be because it would be obvious that they would loose. It's 11 versus 47.
The new site is MUCH different. The plot was created by one of my great friends Alex. You've probably heard of her, old members of Decoy Dreams. She created the very first skin and added a lot of these cool codes you see here. She's also making the skin on the new site, graphics, and side boards. I'm not releasing any name because it would lead to people knowing the link. XD You may want to check my dA though, I'll release it earlier there than here just for my friends / watchers to check out.

so, continuing the previous comments in the cbox, if you do keep this open and become less active, you can enlist more staff members to help keep up in your mild inactivity. this way you don't feel like you're letting anyone down or have too much expected of you!
since you don't have the pressure of the upkeep of being a leader (although medicine cat is a very important role, yet doesn't have as stressful duties!) i'm sure it wouldn't put too much strain on the site!
and i can see how the site can be slow, but people still do get on frequently (it's also around the holidays!). i've seen sites try to hold on a lot longer with only two or three people logging on a day.
tbh, i'm being a little selfish cause i just joined and am so enthralled by the plot and all these interesting cats and everyone's characters! i'd really hate for it to close when i hardly got a chance to enjoy it!

Actually, she plays Wildstar as well, she is a leader on top of a medicine cat.
I however do not believe she should close it- there is no legitimatly good reason, as like you said, Rainfall, I have seen a site hang on for a year and a half with two members.
In comparison to sites I have seen, this site has decent activity, and the good handful of people who do log on, despite school, family matters and the holidays, log on often and make a good show of it.

Thanks for your input guys. Although I do have to do something about the decoy versus good cat stats. Otherwise we'll have to come up with a new plot =/

Cricket, don't close the site. It won't give anything but misery on all of the members' life who rely on this site to waste all their free-time -shot-. But yeah, closing the site would just mean that you're giving up. Remember, quitters never win!
About the decoy versus good cats stuff, how about giving more incentives to decoys and see if it changes anything. Of course, people are more likely to choose good than evil. Decoys probably need to do more rather than being evil. Plus, pure evil characters probably have the same personalities (except their disguises, maybe), making roleplaying with them boring. This is biased, though, since I haven't roleplayed for years before DD. :>

Yeah, I was thinking about giving people a bunch of Mice if they "recruited" decoys or people made some.
