I S E E T H E B L U E I N Y O U R E Y E S baby want are you hiding? • ◦ • ◦ • ◦ • ◦ • ◦ • ◦ • ◦ • ◦ • ◦ • ◦ • Dull. Boring. No excitement.
These three words ran through her mind as the she-cat gazed across the camp through half-opened eyes. Was this how life was going to be for the rest of her days? If it was, she wasn't sure that she wanted to be here. There had to be a better way to spend her days as a warrior instead of the usual routine-hunt, train, borders patrols, and then... sleep. But every warrior has at least some free-time, and her's was seeming terribly boring. Then again, so did most. She spent most of her time alone-any breaks were no acception to hr personal rule. So the she-cat sat in the shade of a nearby tree, watching her clanmates as they went on with their day to day lives.
Hailstorm had never been to optimistic - she was just the opposite. And being social? She showed respect toward her clanmates, sure, but didn't engauge into a conversation often. Not that many people wanted to be around her, reguardless. Her small size, lack of physical strength, and her cold personality seemed to keep others away. Not that it bothered her much, though. Getting to close to another feline like herself was most likely what she feared most in the world. And though she did speak to others occationally, though only when spoken to, she distanced herself from others as much as she possibly could. Others were probably used to things being that way by now, she guessed, as few bothered her. But someone always seemed to show up, hoping for a buddy-buddy chat that she couldn't provide. It was just the way they were.
"Not that I would care," the she-cat muttered, shifting uncomfortably in the blazing, green-leaf heat. "Let the population be mouse brained. As long as they leave me out of it, I'm perfectly fine with that." It was all possible that she did enjoy the few conversations she was in a little, somewhere deep down, but had that been true, no one would have noticed. Not even she, herself, would have noticed as it would likely be buried deep, deep down. Far beyond her reach. All anyone could see was an almost expressionless face that didn't change very often.
'Why must it be so warm?' Hailstorm growled silently. 'It's days like these were you can't help but miss the cold days of leaf-bare. But I suppose I'll be complaining like this when leaf-bare does come around... It always seems to happen.' The white she-cat meowed, "Let's just hope this day doesn't get to dull to handle. If I must sit here in the heat like a worthless kittypet, I'm afraid I'll go mad. It can't be to long before I can go on another patrol, can it...?"
((This post is so short! D:< Only 454 words? That's pathetic! Aw well. I honestly have no idea what to add to this, so it'll have to do for now.))

We Only Live One Life, But If We Work It Right, ONCE IS ENOUGH ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Dreampool~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Why? Why must you have sent me that dream all those moons ago Starclan? I am miserable!Dreampool was padding around the camp, longing for the strong scent of herbs in her nostrils instead of smelling fresh-kill. When she was an apprentice, she had wanted to be a medicine cat terribly, but Starclan told her no. It wasn't her time yet. Right now, she wasn't feeling to chipper. The longing to heal returned and she missed the medicine den. Just as she was about to go leave for her hunting duties, which only made her groan, she spotted Hailstorm. The black she-cat had something in common with Hailstorm, and that was that they were both somewhat anti-social. Dreampool didn't enjoy talking to much, which made her come off as a really shy cat. She decided to go relax by her clan mate, and strolled over there to where the white she-cat was lounging. She flashed one of her prize winning smiles at her friend, and then eased into a comforatable positions on the ground. She curled her frizzy black tail over her frony paws and gave it a few quick licks. "Greetings Hailstorm, I hope you are well. My day is not very good, but I hope yours is better!" Dreampool let out a small meow of laughter, but then went back to her normally serious expression. Her luminesent lime green eyes blinked calmly at Hail. She knew that Hailstorm was never going to be a buddy-buddy, and really neither was Dream. She could be a good friend, yes, but would never really "remember" to ask you to go hunting with her, or would have something else "planned". Her little pink tongue lapped on her paws, which were aching from running around earlier. Her eyes clouded with longing to heal her paws properly, with medicine herbs. The black cat sighed, and glanced out in the direction of the scent of herbs. Then, she focused back on Hailstorm. Her one blind eye still stared ominosly off into the distance. Yet agian, no one had noticed that she had a blind eye, and maybe no one ever would. Her left eye would always be permenetly clouded with darkness. Swishing her tail back and forth on the baking ground, which was also suffering from the greenleaf heat. Dreampool just wanted it to be leaf-fall with all her might. Her favorite moons were always in leaf-fall. "Is is just me, or do the days around here sort of...repeat themselves?" She murmered to herself, still loud enough for her friend to hear. What gave her the thought was the sense of deja vu when the leader started organizing the dawn patrols just a second ago. Standing up, and moving back down into a sitting position this time, she flashed a one green eyed look at Hailstorm. "Would you like to go see if we can take part in the patrol? It might make the day go faster." The fluffy she-cat said delicatly, and waited for Hailstorm to respond. Even though she didn't enjoy patrolling as much as healing, at least it would pass the time. Why Starclan? Why did you do this to me? Why can't I make my own decisions?!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Dreampool~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 635 words Tags: Um, whoever wants to? Outfit: What is that...? I S E E T H E B L U E I N Y O U R E Y E S baby want are you hiding? • ◦ • ◦ • ◦ • ◦ • ◦ • ◦ • ◦ • ◦ • ◦ • ◦ • Hailstorm had since let her eyes droop a bit, before letting them collapse completely. One might have believed that she had fallen asleep if she had hung her head a bit at the moment, but, unfortunately, she was very much awake. It wasn't as though she had anything to lose from letting her eye lids snap together. But, in that case, there was nothing to gain, either. It didn't matter. A simple movement from a few muscles that made of her white bady couldn't hurt, and she left them be. And if anything imporant haapened - say, a fire - her nose would be all she would need in order to sense the danger and get alright. Or, at least, that's what she believed. So the subject of weither to keep a sharp lookout with her eyes, or leave them closed was mentally dropped.
A new scent hit her like a monster on the Thunderpath and her eyes flashed open only to find a black warrior already in her presence. 'So much for being able to scent any danger... I couldn't even scent my own clanmate until they were right on top of me...' the blue eyed feline thought bitterly, eyeing the newcomer with obvious hints of dislike. How dare someone disturb her peace and quiet? As she scanned over the interepting clanmate, she recognized the figure as Dreampool, her green eyed clanmate. The she-cat, much like herself, could be considered anti-social. But Hailstorm didn't want to talk to others, and Dreampool just found it difficult.
Dreampool shot the cold warrior a bright smile and made herself comfortable not for from where she layed. A little... too close, if you asked her. She sat in silence, narrowing her icy colored eyes as she glared at the 'intruder'. It was then that she spoke up, saying, "Greetings Hailstorm, I hope you are well." Hailstorm held back a snort. Trying to make small talk after tresspassing in her personal space? Preposterous! But what she said next made the white cat feel a bit of sympathy and regreted what she was about to do. But it only lasted a few moments, and she soon regained her cold composture. "My day has not been very good, but I hope your's has been better."
She smirked, and let out a half growl, half mew. "Please, Dreampool - I'm absolutely certain that all of your days have been better then mine. But most of our fellow warriors do... It's no news to me."
But Dreampool's track of site had drifted away from here, and it appeared that her focus had as well. Hailstorm followed her gaze to the medicicine cat's den. What did she want with the medicine cat? Was she not feeling well, or something? ... Probably not, she decided. If she really wanted to be a medicine cat, she could have easily just asked the medicine cat themselves as a kit. She shrugged slightly, loosing intrest in the subject she had formed in her mind, and watching as her aquainence shifted her attention back to her. A bit of dust was sent floating into the air as she flickered her tail back and forth across the ground. It was quite warm, from the sun's scorching heat, but the heat would soon pass as it always did.
Hailstorm didn't care for the cold, but she didn't enjoy the heat, either. But that was just the way she was - indifferent about whatever situation came her way.
"Is it just me," she muttered, and Hailstorm almost believed she was talking to herself. But it was just loud enough to reach her ear drums with very little effort, "or do the days around here sort of... repeat themselves?" The blue eyed female raised a single eye brow, confused as to what on earth had lead her to talk about something like that? "Er... Just you? Why do you ask?" So, once again, she followed her clanmate's gaze to find that she was watching the leader help organize patrols. 'Isn't that the deputy's job? Perhap's the deputy's to busy to send out the patrols today...' But what the black warrior suggested next made her ears perk up.
She mewed, "Would you like to go see if we can take part in the patrol? It might make the day go faster." A sincere smile tugged on the edges of her lips as she finished speaking. A patrol could get her mind off of what was going on in the camp. But, unfortunately, she realised that there was a problem. Most of her patrols were done solo - only herself, alone in the territory. Did she really want to spend half the day tailing behind a clanmate, listening to them chat up a storm about their lives? She was completely honest when she thought that she could care less about the affairs of her fellow warriors.
But Dreampool was different. She was quiet, shy... Didn't make another's ears bleed with constant and pointless rants about nothing in particular. And Hailstorm had been waiting for another patrol to roll around so she could partake in yet another... 'I suppose I have nothing to lose, again...' she thought, letting out a barely audible sigh. Forcing herself to her paws, she let her eyes fall into one another once more. Opening them once more and staring at Dreampool directly in the eye, she meowed, "Alright, I suppose I can tag along. I might very well go on another patrol once we get back, though - just to let you know."
Hailstorm shot her a toothy grin, her icy blue eyes as cold as their name sake. It was unclear whether she was happy or angry with her black clanmate, but that was typical when it came to smiles with the long furred female. 'Let's just hope this patrol will go by fast - I'm not sure I can spend a long time with some of my clanmates...'

We Only Live One Life, But If We Work It Right, ONCE IS ENOUGH ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Dreampool~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Easing her way up to stand, the black she-cat flashed yet another prized smile at her clanmate. She knew how Hailstorm felt about talking, and Dreampool understood her nature. Flicking her tail, she strolled over to the leader and talked for only a second or two before bounding over to her friend. “He said we could go on the border patrol, just the two of us.” Dream spoke coldly, but there was warmth in her shimmering green eyes. The truth was, she had asked the leader specificly if they could go alone, but she would never tell Hailstorm that. Padding slowly over to the entrance of the camp, the black feline made sure not to lead, and kept a few paces behind Hail. She didn’t want to be a burden, so she just hung back a little. Her pelt was frizzing out in all directions, and she attempted to smooth it out, but failed miserably. Rolling her eyes, she swayed her whispy black tail back and forth in a captivating manner, almost like hypnotism. As they rounded the corner near the medicine den,the young warrior took a great breath in, inhaling the bitter scent of herbs. But to her, it was anything but bitter. Once the two she-cats were outside the camp,Dreampool's good eye spotted a shadow in the creek nearby. Her blind eye still stared off into the beyond, as clouded as the sky itself.Without so much as a warning to her feline friend, who probably couldn't care less anyway, she darted over to the stream. After a moment or two, a fish was flopping about on the bank. With one quick snap of her jaws, the black cat struted over to the white she-cat who was just looking at her quizzically, as if she were a Shadowclan cat. But the warrior just shrugged it off, and began to bury the fish for late. Kicking up dirt with her paws, when she was through she let Hailstorm lead the way. This gave her plenty of time to think and reflect. I wonder why Hailstorm is so hostile...is there something that happened to her? Ah, I won't ask her about it though. I would hate to disrupt a fine patrol for the sake of intrest. Dream thought, pausing to pull a small thorn out of her paw. As Hail walked ahead, the soft noise of pawsteps approached the black feline. Glancing about worridly, she saw a shadow of a figure. "Decoys. Watch out for decoys." It spoke roughly, then the shadow faded away. "What the Starclan?" Dreampool murmered, then shook her head and bounded quickly after Hailstorm. Being alone after that vision just was disturbing. Aren't medicine cats supposed to have those dreams, not regular warriors? She thought, then wondered if she should tell her white feline friend. She decided agianst it, and just tried to put that scary vision out of her mind. For good. Once she was caught up with her patrol leader, she wanted to speak, just to lighten the mood. "Um, so has anything intresting happened to you lately?" Dream inquired, genuenly interested in her clanmates life. She wanted despretly for Hailstorm to be her friend, but the white feline didn't seem to want to try. Bur that was just the way she felt, and Dreampool accepted that. Twitching her tail, her right eye locked with Hail's and her left eye faced ominosly down toward the forest floor. It was a wonder no one in the clan had noticed Dreampool's blind condition in her left eye. She wondered how much longer that could go on. Crackling leaves crunched under their light pawsteps as they glanced around the borders for intruders. No strange scents entered Dreampool's little black nose, so she didn't say anything. It was the most quiet patrol she had ever been on. I wonder what Hailstorm is thinking about. She certianly seems quite lost in thought, I hope my presence doesn't make her feel uncomfortable. Dream thught, then gave a quick lick to her black flank. It was stinging with some unkown pain that had been going on all week. The feline decided to ignore it and carry on with their silent patrol. As her clanmate walked up ahead, the sleek riverclan she-cat paused to mark the borders, just in case. She trotted a little faster, wondering if anything interesting were to happen on this ordinary day. Didn't seem like anything would. Blinkink her emerald eyes, she twitched her nose at the scent of mouse. Considering she had already caught a fish, she decided to leave it. "The days seem to all melt together in the end, don't they?" She muttered quietly, half to herself, half to Hailstorm. It was really starting to bother her how nothing interesting happened in these newleaf days. The most interesting thing that happened the whole moon was that vision she had had only a while ago. Flicking an annoying ladybug off her ear, she strolled alongside the border, with her friend only a few paces ahead. She wished despretly she could be healing instead of this. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Dreampool~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words: 849. I could do better. ;/ Tags: Haily!!;3 Notes: I love your templete!!! It is epic!!
