J A D E S O N G , The sun had long begun shining, filling the den with a bright light that made sleep almost impossible. The tawny warrior had shaken herself awake, having uncurled herself, reluctantly, from a tight bundle of fur and moss. The day had seemed bright and warm, when she had peered out from beneath the thick reeds that lined the warrior's den, her sleeping clanmates body heat perhaps helping to create this illusion. For a moment she had just lain, her eyes reflecting the growing dawn. The scents of the river seemed to waft to meet her nose and she drew in a deep breath, her heart filling with a peculiar fondness for it's swirling waters and gleaming fish. She had made her way out, apologizing to the bodies that lay, still content, she nudged on her way, though not many seemed to remain.
Upon reaching no more than a few rabbit - lengths outside her den, she had been greeted with a guest of wind, so typical of leaf - fall she had thought little of it. However, as it continued, she found herself being more and more buffeted about. Gritting her teeth, she had moved on, her eyes having alighted upon a tasty morsel of prey. Though the fresh - kill pile appeared low, she knew she would make up for it. . later. In the brief moments in which she had placed her paws carefully, feeling the need to grip into the earth with unsheathed paws, her fur had become ruffled beyond belief. She had made her way over to the nursery. It had seemed arguably the closest place, though without a doubt the most enclosed. A light rain had joined the strong winds and she grimaced at the site.
Now she crouched, her meal forgotten, and licked at her fur. She concentrated on her chest, first, for the strands had become knotted as well as a little messy. The creamy fur began to straighten out and she heaved a small sigh of relief. Upon completing her flanks and lower paws, she thought she heard a slight noise, issuing from behind her. At once, her head darted around, her eyes flashing, before she remembered where she was. The small warrior almost laughed and returned to her vigorous licking. This is nice,' she thought, a break from the usual routine, that's for sure. She half - wondered if any kits were about; or their mothers? An idle chat could be just what she was after to complete this rather uneventful morning. Her head poked a little way into the den, searching for a familiar face of a clan member. It seemed she was without luck, though her ears did not face forward as she resumed her washing; there was still a small hope. .

Tawny eyes blinked open, the sights they provided earning a gentle huff of satisfaction. The sunlight had managed to claw it's way between the walls of the nursery and shone filtered in random patches. One such ray happened to fall on a queen and her four kits, Slatekit, Riverkit, Sparrowkit and of course, little Zerokit. With a happy squeak, the small grey - patched tom stumbled out of the reed nest and onto the firm, hard ground. "About time you woke up." a husky voice grumbled bad -temperedly. "For StarClan's sake," the tabby kit using a word he had heard an apprentice using,"- will you guys tell me what you are and who you are? I can't be in peace without someone new popping up!" he cried out loud, exasperated ."Alright, alright. Don't get your fur in a knot, mouse - brain. And don't ask what a knot is, you fool. I'm Ant. Now shut up." the deep voice, Ant as he called himself, growled irritatedly before falling silent. "Envy. And please, do shut up. Your squeaky voice is really irritating." the husky voice, Envy, agreed. "I'm Flare. Don't listen to those two grumps, instead, listen to me!" a high, whiny voice introduced herself, earning snarls from Ant and Envy. "And it's Shiver. I know you haven't heard me before, but I was still here all along." the last voice, a calm and reassuring voice spoke quietly.
"Well, good to finally know your.. manes.. uhh.. banes.. umm.." Zerokit said as he began to walk towards the entrance of the den, breaking off as he searched for the words his mother had used. "You mean names?" Shiver asked with barely suppressed laughter. The young tom grunted in reply, having seen a mossball nearby. With a childish grin on his muzzle, Zerokit pranced toward the ball, playing a game of 'catch - me - if - you - can!' When he finally bobbed forward, he stretched a frost - colored paw out and dabbed at the green sphere and sending it soaring through the air. It landed close to the nursery entrance and Zerokit gamboled clumsily after it. Skidding slightly as he neared the mossball the grey and white kit fell onto his side, cannoning straight into a nest. "I'm sorry! Are you hurt?" he gasped staring at the now disheveled bed of reeds and moss with wide eyes. Just then a humongous head popped through the entrance, frightening the young tom out of his fur. "StarClan! Crowfood! Newleaf! Apprentice!" Zerokit yowled in terror, using all the words he had learnt so far. But as soon as it came, it vanished, leaving a pair of curious tawny eyes staring after it. Curiosity got over his fright and he padded forward cautiously towards the entrance.
His grey - splotched face emerged from the entrance, his gaze immediately drawn towards some strange moving water that seemed to be falling.. from the sky? "Wow! Falling water!" Zerokit gasped, taking a step forward but drawing back almost immediately. "What is that? It's.. brrr.." he shivered as he stepped into the light rain and as the winds buffeted against his kit - soft fur. "Oh, hello. You're huge, but then, everything is. Why, I even thought that the nursery was the entire world!" Zerokit meowed in his usual forthright way when he spotted the owner of the 'mysterious scary head'.

- -> ant has a deep voice and makes Zerokit get crazier than he already is - -> flare has a high, whiny voice which can be extremely irritating at times - -> envy has a husky voice and is always the one that interrupts Zerokit when he is having happy thoughts - -> shiver has a soothing voice and is pretty much the only one that doesn't drive Zero too mad but he does have the tendency to make Zero do things against his will
OOC: I'm really sorry but the table seems to not be working... Colours won't show up. I have no idea of what to do so you'll have to really concentrate in order to know who is saying what.. -sighs-

J A D E S O N G , The warrior's eyes had still not adjusted to the gloom, for still she squinted and blinked. She thought about calling out once more, before a ray of sun began to shine through the nursery, and she could vaguely make out the shapes lying still upon the ground. Tail flicking in embarrassment; though the cats did not appear to have noticed her, she began to back out, only stopped by the amusing talk and play of a kit. Tail curling, eyes crinkling, she watched the small gray tom as he played with the moss ball. It all seemed so carefree, that the she - cat was struck with a moment of regret, her eyes filling with a sense of loss. It appeared the tom had not yet noticed her, though perhaps he had, as she gave a start when he spoke. He seemed a little nervous, she observed, watching as he broke off half - way through a sentence. Yet, there was something that seemed even more pressing; who, in StarClan, was he talking to? It did not seem as if any of his littermates were awake yet, though the kit was talking to another cat. Or cats, it seemed, noting the use of the plural; 'names'.
She was just about to ask this strange creature when he careered into a nest, sending moss and reeds flying. This rushed and familiar action could have only come from a kit, driving all other thoughts of confusion from her mind. A slow smile spread her face, accompanied with a slow shaking of her head. The tom's muffled apology caused her tail to curl even more so. He seemed so similar to her as a kit; so cautious, ready to apologize at the slightest mishap, startled at the smallest of things. She watched as he padded back toward the entrance, as she thought he would. All kits seemed to have boundless curiosity and she was certainly no threat. While her eyes never left him, his were instantly drawn to all the new wonders of the world he was experiencing. It seemed at this moment, it was the rain that held his attention; at least, for a little while. 'It's rain, little one,' her mew was a gentle as ever, perhaps even more so, for she felt a strange sense of sympathy toward this young kit. 'And yes, it's very cold.' The hint would probably go un - noticed; this was a kit she was speaking to. So, she took matters into her own paws, and neatly stepped inside the den, making sure she kept at least a rabbit - length from the kit; he seemed an easily startled individual.
His incessant chatter filled her head and she smiled again. Why was it that kits had such a positive and energizing influence on her? Her mind gave her no answers, so instead she responded to one who would. 'I remember thinking a similar thing, when I was your age. . Of course, that was many, many moons ago.' Her whiskers twitched; it had not really been so long ago, only, say, twenty moons however, she was aware that she may seem as old as the stars to him. 'What's your name? And your littermates? I'm sure I heard other voices before!' Now that she had spoken, she realized that was not entirely true. She had heard him talking to others; but none talking back. A frown creased her soft face, as she thought through this matter. Not quite sure how to redeem herself, though perhaps, with any luck, the kit would have been too distracted to notice, she talked to him. 'And I'm not really so big. Some of the toms in our clan are much, much larger!'
